Just watch Sockes control in this and tylers game closely, his micro has been godlike, huk said his unit control was top 3 in the world, but sockes has been above and beyond this tournament, clearly been practising while white-ra and nani been in the spot light
The naniwa - Unit of protoss skill, defined as the number of gates you build off of one base

Huk is better than Socke. The best team/player doesn't always win.

I have no problem with Socke using any strategy to win in a tournament. I've come to believe that in a tournament there is no cheese(I used to think differently). You have to do whatever it takes to win and advance.

Still don't understand Huk running 2 Zealots cross map to Socke's base instead of killing the proxy pylon in his base.

Huk deserved to lose, he scouted proxy gate and did the wrong response, and fucked up his building placement, so much for best player in tournament :')

that was the most awesome game i watched yet in this tournament, and its 90% because of the german caster

I liked Khaldor before this series, but now I just turned it off. His bias was so annoying, in the beginning I had no idea who I want to win, but after first game I cheered for HuK.

I hope you dislike Artosis too because his bias towards
A) westerners
B) zergs

is so ridiculous that it makes him look like the Ron Santo of Starcraft casting

who's in Code A again?

Sry dude but there are no good players in Code A. If Huk makes it out of there it will mean something. Code A is for the likes of BitByBit.Prime

Also Socke has achieved more in Europe than Huk in NA

no good players in code a? what?? quit trolling plz

For everybody comparing Socke's cheese to TLO vs Morrow game 1, let me remind you that TLO was up on 3 bases that game and only lost much later on.

The way Socke played was the only way he could stand a chance against Huk.

Oh well, the better player doesn't always win.

Yep cuz PvP's are going to go to 3 base v 3 base

thought HuK was best player here

He is. PvP isn't anything to base a player's skill on, Socke got lucky he had to play PvP.

Oh well.

Both players have the exact same tools. There is only skill involved,.

LOL. No really, that doesn't hold true at all. Everyone knows PvP only resolves around one strat, the only strat Socke happens to be good at.

Assuming you're right Socke is far superior to HuK. Both could only use one strategy and Socke won.

Really, are you that daft? HuK didn't lose because he was unlucky, he lost because Socke played better in this series.

He lost because PvP doesn't say anything about the player's skill.

Huk did really good in the tourney but PvP is just a terrible match up right now. Anyone can take a game off anyone in PvP if your at the top level.

I like both the players but I was really pulling for Huk that last game. TT

And the german casters are hilariously biased haha

"best player" out of the tournament.

???

Why would you consider HuK to be the best player?? There are many players that are a couple of levels above HuK in this tournament.

He was being a smart ass because HuK said he was the best player at the tournament and would win.

Its okay that you are defending your player, but still. Stating such a thing and then losing in that fashion against a proxygate is nothing but laughable. I do like Huk and I think he's a good player, but that was well deserved. So, call me a smartass for that, but I just don't like that cocky behaviour.

I think the interviewer asked him asked him the question and he said yes. It wasn't like an out of a the blue "I'm fucking amazing". I would expect more of you.

I always wonder why people forget that Starcraft is a game of partially luck, no-one achieves 100% win-ratio, there is always a chance to lose. You cannot base your assumptions of who is the better player after 1 measly Bo3, or even 2 for that matter.

Also, I think Huk had every right assuming he was (one of) the best player at the tournament based on his overwhelmingly good ladder achievements (mainly those in Korea)

TLO got a lot more hate than socke for his canon rush in case you missed the 5 pages of german exulting comments a moment ago.

Funny. U know how did Socke won both games? 10/10 14 cyber 4warpgate rush with a hidden pylon in HuK's base. BOTH games like that.

I'm sorry but I was not impressed at all!

Nice to see the EU/NA rivalry is as strong as ever. :D
Lee Jae Dong proved that a focus on mechanics and execution could solve problems in the StarCraft game strategy.
