You be the judge. Doesnt tell the whole story.

Anyone who bought the ticket: do you think it's worth the $5 based on the quality of today's matches? I can't watch the stream live (while I'm in lectures) and it is only four days of content so I'm not sure.

That's why you should watch the games.
The maps were excellent imo. Then again everyone has their own likes / dislikes.

I could think of a lot of less worthwhile things I've spent 3 quid on mate xD
Todays matches weren't stunning given 2 of the weakest teams were in action, but the format is fun and team competitions are generally entertaining imo. Get some nice match and player variety etc.

On the subject of ads, I just loaded a few VoDs and didn't have any play.

I wouldn't be surprised to see IM using Nestea and Mvp as their first 2 players, or Nestea as first and MvP as last (he seems to handle pressure well). For oGs it doesn't really matter, they have 4 S-class players anyway
Yeah because Flash and Jaedong are always the first to be played in winners league
MKP either has it in him or he doesnt...if he cant handle the pressure he's not a true ace player and thus not a true S class. Am I being to harsh?

Saying he isn't a true S class, at this point in the competitive game, is too harsh. Ace for a team with the overall talent level(not very good) of Prime, yea, he doesn't have it right now.

I agree 100%, Prime has definitely fallen from being the top team during the beta to rather mediocre currently. MKP is the only reason why prime i watch Prime clan match and the only reason why Prime is still relevant as a top team.

Wow god damn. I left after the first teams played because I was so disappointed, and then every single game of the next match is recommended. Screw me?

To the people saying MKP go figured out from that one game with alive, I have to disagree. Yes, blue hellions are good against marines, but MKP spreads them beautifully, similarly against blings. Blue hellions worked because of mineral line drops, which have ALWAYS been awesomely effective against anyone, especially 2 pronged strats. Great defense and harass by alive.

Definitely impressed with Alive's TvT! Good strategies

Wow, this is quite surprising! Squirtle (don't know much about him, so I assume he isn't nearly as accomplished as Nestea or such) but was he lucky or improved heavily? 4-0? That's very nice!
Also surprised another player (again haven't heard of him [much]) beat CheckPrime AND MKP? impressive

Will Squirtle eventually evolve into the Blastoise known as Bisu? Only time will tell, along with a couple more all-kills.
Anyways, I really enjoyed the games on Taldarim. The ridiculously huge map size really prolongs the game for the better, and it seems that players are only scratching the surface of its potential. It was nice to see games on that map end after multiple engagements instead of one.
I was a bit disappointed to see the Crossfire game end so quickly and lackluster, though it was due more to the Terran player's mistakes than the map itself. I look forward to seeing legitimate games on that map.

I'm more interested in seeing how matchups are played out and chosen
fOu chose to send out 3 Terrans to try to take down Squirtle. it might be indicative of Korean opinions on the current state of ZvP, but it's way too early to tell with just 1 match played out so far.

Actually, if you live in Europe, the matches are between 10:00 and 14:00, so if you are working (or taking your studies seriously) you won't be able to watch the streams anyway.
I get home from work around 16-1700 and the HQ VODs are usually up by then and they don't really need any buffering. (The first season was terrible, the second ok and the third and onwards have been great).
In other words, GomTV is providing very good value for money for Europeans, but you have to pay because you can't watch the SQ stream because of the time they are broadcasted.

Difference between Code S players and A are not huge. We will see tomorrow if Mvp is still invicible!

Yeah, it's very easy to miss the stream. But luckily the ticket costs dollars: 3,7€ for GSTL ticket and it'll be only ~7,5€ for GSL March ticket. Strong euro ftw.
I have spent six times the amount of that on a single bad game.

The format is really entertaining and the new maps make for some interesting and entertaining games. The HQ VODs are awesome and play without any buffering here in Norway, which is about as far from South Korea as you can get.

Yes, yes, yes! Today was really exciting watching the games live. Today there was definitely on the low side of possible matches and it still took about 4 hours...and I only paid 5 dollars. Plus it was exciting to see Tester, Alive, Fruitdealer, and Rain all on stage. And for the rest of the tournament IMMVP, Nestea, MC, Slayers_Boxer...
If you can't tell I really enjoyed it and really looking forward to OGS-TL vs IM tonight!

The games have been mostly really good, and seeing matches on new maps is really exciting imo. I also find team leagues a lot more entertaining than your average 1v1 tournament match (outside of semis/finals). I'd say it's worth the money.

Squirtle has pretty solid PvT, I feel like fOu should have sent out a zerg or protoss after set 1 or 2. He has obvious room for improvement (putting his zealots in FRONT of his stalkers), but his build orders and unit compositions were very safe and hard to counter. Thebest ALMOST had him on tel'darim but after he got like 6 colossus and 10 phoenixes, there was no amount of marauders and vikings that could take it out
