I suspect that if Flash knew that he could bunker rush every game and win he would. In fact this has probably happened in the past, but I'll let people more knowledgeable about BW history (or people more prone to the old Boxer-Yellow line) cover that one.

It's been well documented that Flash cheesed just like this Nam guy when he first started playing, but BW was a much more figured out game by then, with most of the top players knowing how to defend and effectively punish most cheeses. Thus, he had to transition to the macro game, or he wouldn't have lasted. Unfortunately for SC2, it seems like many haven't figured out a lot of the timings and correct reactions to cheeses yet, so cheese is much stronger than it should be. Add in close positions due to shitty maps, and cheese efficiency becomes exponentially stronger.
