Yikesss great players on both team. May the best team win
Wish this was a little less awkward timing for me, but can't wait for the vods, this is one of the more exciting things in sc2 imo
Aww no HuK. Hoping to see some idrA rage = P
It's SPL! Only... it's western and StarCraft 2. Im really looking forward to see DeMusliM play his first game for team EG!
hope that one day this will be a korean proleague matchup!! looking forward to this especially, ret v idra
Nice maps. ZvZ on blistering, TvZ on Shakuras, random player on Meta. DQ for the only matchup without a possible zerg. Nice choices.
This looks like a great match. Will be watching
Woot! So excited. Must work quickly in next couple hours so I can make it :D
I wish I could watch this, but I'm in the middle of a drive to maine haha. Gl hf to all those playing
wow dident think Idra would play when he got GSL!
EG.Idra vs Ret should be really good.
Cool, TLO is playing random. Hope is p has improved.
wow this is going to be fun! can't wait to watch! gl hf!!
omg a fucking team league...in fucking america. holy fucking ballsack. *jizz*
This is awesome
Man, every match sounds awesome. Particularly excited to see Ret vs. IdrA, as well as DeMusliM's play.
Can't wait for this - I'll be tuning in for sure. ^^
Holy check, it's going to be extremely hard to contain my excitement for this. The lineup is looking mind-numbingly awesome.
It would be more awesome if EG also had iNcontrol and Tasteless (lol) playing and Liquid had HuK and Jinro. Oh well. I guess you can't have everything...
Cool event, though. I'll be sure to watch what will surely be an epic series of games. Ret vs Idra has the possibility to turn into an epic macro ZvZ. TLO switching back to Random will be quite interesting to watch. Tyler will bring back some Arbitersssssss.
Can't wait.
DeMu takes out Haypro with ease, Ret vs. IdrA is up in the air, TLO destroys Axslav, Tyler narrowly beats LzGamer.
Wow, this is awesome. Pretty short notice (unless it was announced somewhere), but I'll be able to watch it, so it doesn't matter to me. Some great games incoming.
it could really go either way imo...
Hoping for an Ace Match.
My picks are:
Demuslim Idra TLO Tyler Idra
haypro > demuslim ret < idra tlo > axslav tyler > lzgamer
Should be great games nonetheless, and hoping for surprises!
I think ESL spoiled the results of the DeMusliM game accidentally
+ Show Spoiler +
Any chance we're going to see Jinro in the ace match? Assuming it gets that far, that is.
I think Axslav has a much better chance than people give him credit for lol.

Be sure to check also out 1st Machinima Realm Invitational; it's TeamLiquid, EG, ROOT, Mouz & Prime battling each other.
Ret vs IdrA is going to be one of the best ZvZ's ever!. So excited for this tonight.
This will be sick!!!! Looking forward to it!
Demuslijm/Haypro and Idra/Ret are pretty close.
Liquid should take this quite easily on paper though
Ret v. Idra = A Battle of the Titans.
Ooh I didn't know TLO is playing random! Good to see there's a variety of matchups, hope there's an Ace round
May we have a amazing game tonight Tyler!! Good luck Have Fun!!
IdrA displayed pretty solid ZvZ the last time I saw him play. He seems to have greatly improved in this regard, especially considering the fact that previously many people called it his worst matchup. Ret's going to have a difficult game to play.
This is going to be epic. Predictions: HayprO < DeMusliM Ret < IdrA TLO > Axslav Tyler < LzGaMeR
Great matches for tonight, excited for all of them! Ret vs IdrA ZvZ, and a potential Nony vs IdrA ace match. Liquid fighting!
Predictions Haypro<DeMuslim Ret<IdrA TLO>Axslav NonY>LzGamer NonY>IdrA
How the hell is this not on the TL calendar? This is like the most epic thing on par with GSL, its basically Proleague of the foreigner scene.
GL EG, rooting for you, too bad I can't tune into the stream though so i hope this gets updated after each match
hmm My Predictions
haypro>Demuslim Ret>Idra TLO>Axslav Tyler>LzGamer
all kill and idra blame the lost on latency.

I think we can be certain Ret vs IdrA will be an awesome macro game :D
are all BO1? don't know much about EGAxslav Ret vs Idra coulda have a better/bigger map since it will be against two heavy macro zerg pllayers

Glad I saw this when I did. Plan on watching this for sure.
DeMusliM > Haypro Haypro has been underperforming against bigger names recently. He placed high in the recent tourney, but losing to HuK in a clean sweep (dominant) kind of cancels that out. DeMusliM is fresh off the anticipation plane to Korea, so he should be in his best form yet.
Idra > Ret ZvZ is Idra's best matchup, and Ret is sort of a mini-Idra who often overdrones. It seems the level of overdroning goes in the order of Haypro > Ret > Idra.
TLO > Axslav I don't know who Axslav is, and TLO just placed 1st in a recent tourny, so this should be easy. Wonder if TLO will beat Axslav using Random or Terran or Zerg....
Tyler -> LzGaMeR Tyler has been quiet recently. The Tester of American Protoss.
IdrAs going to six pool. I'm feeling it.
Gonna be fantastic. Gogo Liquid! :D

TLO as random, yeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :D. Also haven't seen any VODs of him for a loong time, twill be sweet

this is how i think the games will go down too, though i wonder who's gonna be the ace for each team, one would think it'd be jinro vs inc, but korea vs. us latency, well.
or it might be haypro, idra, axslav and tyler who win and still get an ace match. or 3-kill by one team. oh, the possibilities.. gief vods as soon as it's done :D

If thats the map pool, I'm going with HayprO, Ret/Idra is too close to call, Axslav, Tyler.
DEEELLLLLTAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! is all I can say, TvP.

DeMusliM proxies a barracks at the lower left natural to complement the two in his main, but everything is scouted. HayprO delays with zerglings, and then sets up a strong defense, and denies the attack easily.

HayprO taking a third at the lower left natural, while Demu walls in at his natural and slowly moves towards hellions from three factories. HayprO is at double Demu's supply, and scouts the terran build with an overlord.

Haypro's mutas in DM's main trashing addons and supply depots.

Haypro's mutas kill everything in demuslim's main and GG.
Haypro wins.

Thor out, Haypro hold position mutas and DM GG's

Great play by HayprO, unfortunate it was very anti climatic with how the replay was casted.

HayprO does a ton of damage with mutalisks at DeMusliM's main. Demu gets a small consolation by killing some drones at HayprO's third, but the hellions are all killed by the retreating mutalisks. HayprO steamrolls again in the main, and kills all of Demu's marines.
Demu has no AA left, and squeezes out a thor, but he's beyond dead at this point, and gg's.

Why bold it, people aren't stupid here.
I have 90 down 35 up, the frames per second of the caster is a good chunk lower than 30 fps, whether you set it at 240p or 1080p.
Anyways, 1/2 gate fast expand against a korean style player like TLO is pretty risky, it showed this game.

Yeah... the sense of entitlement is always amazing to me. This is an awesome team vs team series so it has a variety of players and match-ups. It's free to watch. All set up and organization has been taken care of for the audience; you don't even need an account on justin.tv to watch it. Don't worry though, people will still complain just for the sake of complaining. Damn, life is tough.

Not everyone has a connection that can reliably stream 720p+ resolution regardless of the fps of the source.
Bolding aids in emphasis not comprehension - find another bone to pick.

IF YOUR STREAM IS LAGGING, REDUCE YOUR STREAM QUALITY AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STREAM.
NonY at the bottom right, Lz at the top right.
Lz preparing a drop, but NonY has an observer right on top of it. Colossi out in force for NonY. Lz's marauder/viking in full swing. NonY pressuring the front, and taking the gold at 6, but Lz is turtled in his base, with his backdoor taken.

Army trade at mid with Lz sniping all of Tylers colo.
predicting demuslin idra tlo nony Jinro comes out of nowhere vs idra for ace match
edit: boo missed a couple

They were pretty short games

I have done that and it's still lagging. It's pretty weird. =/
Restarted my browser and it's working fine now. Dunno what that was about.

Lz wins a major battle in the middle, but it's a phyrric victory as Lz is taking his natural, while NonY already has his gold up. Lz pushes all the way to NonY's natural, but can't do any damage there.
Lz with ghosts out, and going pure infantry, while NonY restocks.
Tyler takes his fourth and is teching charge/blink and pumping more Colo. Lz going mass marauder.
nony now 4 base to lz's 3. lz still has a strong marauder army that nony is having trouble with.

NonY attacks again, with much more success, but he pushes in range of Lz's planetary fortress, and the terran holds, but with significant viking and medivac losses. NonY taking a base at 7 while Lz takes his gold.
They engage again, but NonY has the better position this time, and his eco advantage is starting to prevail. Zealot charge forces the marauders to retreat, and all the vikings are lost again. NonY's army is larger for the first point in the game.
Chargelots and 4 collossi with stalker support destroys lz's infantry army!
Tyler pushes with critical amount of colo and chargelots and crushes Lz at his front door.
More colo rallied to Lz natural. Planetary drops and tyler reinforcing with more stalkers. L3 armor started for Tyler.
Lz GG's
TL 3-0

Wow, really well-played by Nony.

3-0 Liquid! Congrats Liquid, mayhaps try 5-0 shutout?
Lz just didn't have enough vikings late game to kill off the colossus, 3-0 TL.
Wow... TL roflstomped EG. O_o

Tyler so awesome! TL 3-0!

NonY dominates the final engagement, as Lz has not been able to replace his vikings. Colossi decimate Lz's natural, and then pushes into the main and the terran has nothing to stop him.
Lz stays in only long enough to type "well played" in it's entirety. GM!
Yeah nice Nony best protoss of TL and people shouldnt look down on Haypro. He is heaps better than Demuslim if you ask me and he is alot better than people think

As expected, really.

Nony is delicious. makes me want to play toss!

Lz lost way too many vikings early on by refusing to micro them in the first big engagement.

I wouldn't go as far to say he's a lot better then demuslim as all we saw was demuslim doing an all in T_T.

Wow, Team Liquid just dominated EG. Such power.

I agree with that for sure, he's easily the most underappreciated member of TL right now, hopefully he'll have a big breakthrough of some sort the way Jinro did
Will there not be IdrA vs Ret match? T_T
TL fighting! Great job guys! :D
Yeah, really no surprises.
Team Liquid is full of very competent players, many of whom could compete in Code A and a couple in Code S.
Team EG has IdrA, who, while I think is probably stronger than Jinro (Liquid's #1), can still lose very very easily to a regular Diamond player (Zerg is like that).
Great games.
can't say that i really ever got on the Hayder bandwagon. I just haven't really seen much impressive play out of him! definitely well played by Liquid all around!! LzGamer vs Tyler just a good solid game, recommended.
Stay tuned for Fnatic vs Empire tomorrow !!
I can't really see any team stopping TL. :D
Well this was a bit disappointing. And I love how they were banning everyone from the chat that meantioned how disappointing this was. If you put on a crappy event, at least have the decency to take cristicism. All the matches were super one sided (not surprising, TL > EG), and the most anticipated match (for me at least) didn't even happen, and most of them were just replays.
Always great to catch a TLO game though
TL reminds me of SKT1 and EG reminds of Oz . . . lol.
Did Gosucoaching record any vods during this CW? Would love to see the matches.
Commentary was good, but quite honestly disappointed that we didn't see the "big match"
Event wasn't the best, but was decent.

With Demuslim as Hiya and Idra as Jaedong, looks pretty similar.

sucks that the patch in korea messed up idra's game. but at least we already know which team won and dont have to wait for that.

Idra had connection problems and stuff T___T sorry folks.

ah T_T mah bad.

I think this league is going to be great for the foreign scene. Obviously TL is going to dominate at first but I would imagine this will make the other teams want to try that much harder to be able to keep up.
This looks to be far more entertaining than Code A games..!
EDIT: PS: Why don't IdrA and Ret simply play on the Korean server...?
EDIT2: lol it's already over nvm!

Looks like you're a couple months behind ZvZ metagame if you think it's all about ling-bling still.

They couldn't because Idra had to re-download the korean client is what they said on the stream.

TLO playing random, I love it
1. Really sad we couldn't see Idra vs Ret because I think it would've been a great game (hopefully with Idra coming out on top)
2. Why did axslav play instead of incontrol?! He was another player I was looking forward to seeing.
3. I really hope TLO goes back to Terran like the good ole days Although having a random player is refreshing.
Anywho, gg's. Congrats to liquid

TLO on random!? That man just can't make up his mind.

If you read a few pages of the last you'll know that Idra couldn't run the korean version and had to redownload and so they were going to do it later but would take too long so they canceled (as liquid had won 3-0 by the time anyway).

they were all great games, Tyler played like a boss as always. good work Liquid and well played EG love this league and hope to see more good games.

Damn I need VODs or replays, I was unable to watch the event live Are they gonna be up soon?

I hope the VOD gets uploaded to blip.tv or something, because justin.tv is SOO slow for lots of Europeans. The streams are still buffering even when going to 240p and now I get 1 word of the caster per 10 seconds orso when watching the VOD :S
3-0? That's impressive, congrats to TL!
Will there be replays or am I just unobservant? If they're on some site, it would be nice to get the link! Thank you in advance. (And by replay I mean in the actual game not the VOD O_o)
