IdrA is good enough to make it hard to beat him, even if you know what he's going to do. He had the same problems with Terran in SC:BW, but it didn't matter most of the time.

Even if you look at DPS, instead of damage (stalkers hit faster) roaches are still really really good against stalkers. Immortals are the counter to roaches. Range 3 or range 4, roaches hard counter stalkers. The problem with roaches was heavy forcefield+colossus play or so many stalkers that you can't catch up.

Lol No its not. thanks to ChronoBoost Protoss early game eco is superior to that of Zerg. Zerg actually have to get that expo fairly saturated in order for there eco to blast past that of Protoss.

Yeah, zerg needs to do more 1 base play... That'll go well.
edit: 1 base roach perhaps became better, but forcefields or immortals would still wreck it.

No, it's early aggression that failed. He overcommited.
Cheese is something you hide early game and if it's not scouted in time it's unbeatable. Cheese doesn't need to be all-in (although it can be).
He was going forge FE anyway, and that allowed cannons early. He didn't do it out of sight. He overcommited on cannons but it's in no way cheese.

You are forgetting that stalkers have 6 range rather than 4, have a 1.44 cooldown rather than 2, have a 2.9531 speed rather than 2.25 (unupgraded) roach speed, and have a blink upgrade which counters the roach speed upgrade very well

HuK even admitted his PvZ is his weakest matchup so IdrA may be onto something here. Either way, I think whoever comes out on top of the WB Finals is our champion regardless of who comes from the LB.

Oh you still lose. Except Stalkers are faster out of the box, have longer range, can shoot air and can learn blink. Honestly, are you god damn kidding me with this comparison?
Blink and shooting air is very useful when the zerg overruns you with 2x your population of roaches early on.

both players micro'd the roach/stalker balls fairly evenly, and the stalkers got assraped. speedroaches outrun stalkers so you can't kite them anymore. considering zlots arnt an option against roaches its basically straight-up fight and roaches appear to win easily now. would like to see how much 1 GS affects that battle, although sentry is so slow it would probably be sniped immediately.
