Watching the TLO set was kinda like if Rambo got into a fight with an army and somehow managed to kill everyone with a spoon. Then the next day he accidentally falls off his roof while cleaning the drains and dies. Hyperdub won fair and square, sure, but talk about a terrible end to what started as the best scII set ever. I didn't think it could get much worse after the Idra upset; I was wrong. About the only thing worth watching now is Check and Cool, aside from that I think I'd rather watch paint dry.

looks like im rooting for check..
The last game was a buzzkill for me. I looked at the time, saw what was happening and sighed...

I am a cheese hater myself but we all have to respect Hyperdub for playing such a risky strat when there is quite a bit of money on the line.

Did TLO ever explain why he decided to scout the closest position last?

Too bad TLO lost. I was hoping for a deep run just for the community outside of korea.

Theres alot of hate for what Hyperdub did on that last game but what was so clever about it was that TLOs builds the first two games where very anti-banshee, so i guess he figured TLO would scout the closet air position first as that seemed to be a major concern for him in TvT with the build he's favouring atm. So therefore if hyperdub could scout TLO to find out if they where in close ground positions using the mineral effects he knew double barrack cheese would be very effectivel, hence why he won.

TLO interview up.
Zats not how he rolls mon!

Cheeze is bad because it relies more heavily on luck than skill, and that was some heavy-ass all-in cheeze.

My heart started wrenching as soon as hyperdub sent the early SCV in the right direction. Perfect storm brewing right there. I think this GSL showed that TLO and Idra were on par in terms of mechanics compared to the best in the world but I hope they learn to be hypervigilant against quirky play such as proxies and void ray rushes in the future. Assume nothing in SC2 from bronze league all the way to the GSL.

Someone mentions he always scout close air. Couple that with his thor openings, and it seems TLO has a distinct distaste for Terran early air cheesing him.
Mind you, both first and second game by Hyperdub included early-ish banshee, so I think he was sorta reasonable in expecting that. Regardless, a quick loop around the bottom of his nat before heading out is not a huge delay.

But with your first scout, you're not going to see a starport anyway. I don't see any reason not to scout the close position on metalopolis first, because if they're there that's a completely different game than if they're across the map or close by air.
Sad to see TLO go, he gave me the best game of starcraft 2 I've ever seen (set 1). Better luck to him next time!

"Artosis: Do you lose because you contracted chicken pox and could not practice? TLO: No, that's absolutely not true. Artosis: Wow, man. I'm trying to get an out man. TLO: That's would be totally horrible, man."
The right mindset to a champ.
Not the tearsfest people are displaying in here.

You missed it like the other guy - last line "That's not how I roll, man."
Of course, it makes TLO more baller.

Wow, I just watched what happened.....just wow....

I saw TLO had an interview on the front page of gomtv so I assumed he won. I was feeling so good after TLO took game 1. I took a peek here to see how people felt and then I found out he lost. D:

Everytime you see a tournament thread have way more pages than it should have, it means a favorite lost
