![]() 20 dollar is expensive, bt worth it in my opninion. I don't get how low quality stream from korea is worth 20$. But i'm from poor country :D Also i don't understand why i have only 450kbit download speed from GomTV servers while i have 5Mbit speed from Seoul on www.speedtest.net ![]()

Oh well, on the upside, if this is the way they are going to do things, it's a golden opportunity for other tournaments to sweep in and exploit the enthusiasm for pro-level games. Edit: I have to stop reading about this, I'm just making myself more and more depressed TT. Edit: Ok so if I have this right, we will be able to watch the games afterall, just we will have to rely on someone streaming OGN. Correct? That's ok then. Still a poor decision by gomtv but as long as I can see the games I don't need the English (sorry Tasteless and Arty ;( ).

But yea 1 season = 1 tourney so its ro64 to the finals you are paying for. And since their user terms and agreement mention that they can change the pricing whenever they want without notifying anyone, i wouldn't be surprised if you will have to pay additional fees to watch the finals, lol. ALSO http://www.gomtv.net/2010gslopens1/forum/ Don't be lazy, everyone should go there, sign up and release their rage on those forums. We can't have this shit happening in e-sports, especially in sc2, especially this early.

If people individually post on gomtv.net I think it will have a bigger impact on the other GOM staff. At least, this is the impression I get from what is happening so far. Didn't think of it that way. Really good point.

How do they justify 30 dollars for a "season"? Also, GOMTV better learn the principle of price elasticity. They would probably make more money with the a price that's 1/4th of this...

However, for GSL all streams and VODs will be charged. There will be two versions, a high quality one and a low quality one. You can choose depending on your computer and internet performance. There goes 90% of your audience. Well others have already mentioned the same point in a more articulate manner so here's just another voice from the crowd. And I don't care enough to go to your site to register just to post this.

I will watch korean stream if it's possible. I'm not going to pay for such a young game. Maybe I would pay for BW, but definitely not for sc2 for now. For me it's still not the level of a sport.

Is it really that unreasonable to ask for a free standard quality stream? Take a look at the MLG model. They provide a very reasonable free stream and charges for their HQ stream. Seem like the MLG guys are pretty happy with the outcome. Yes, the prize pool is a lot smaller, but GSL would have a lot more audiences around the world. I also don't want to see GOM setting an example for selling replays =/

I wanted to support them but the cruel fact just is I can't afford it. The price is just insanely high :O I expected way less. Now I'm sad ![]()

The funny part in this is that if they went for some sort of compromise they would earn much more money.
