Yeah seeing that calmed me down quite a bit lol , might only throw the monitor now.

Yeah Dimaga agreed to regame when he could have had a win.
If he loses now he only has himself to blame.

If Tarson is a fair guy, he should loose this game....

Reconnect system. Multiplayer game saves. Resuming through the replay.
Many options there. Probably more if you put effort on ideas. Get to work, Blizz.

Lol, reaper chees would be out of mind now.. :D

Great manner by Dimaga giving Tarson another shot. It clearly was Dimaga's game at the point the computer crashed. Tarson seems like a great guy so it's a good thing he doesn't ''loose'' because his computer crashed, although he most likely would have lost to the next dimaga push anyways. And Dimaga have 2 maps to take the set.

Whats the point of regame then?

Looks like another epic game in the making, as long as DIMAGA defends the Banshee.

Why hasn't Blizzard done this? I know its ironie but just take a look at HoN it's DC and crash protected, no way to lose a game because of dc or crash it would be so easy for blizzard to implement such a great feature into SC2 too but they want this great DC and PC Crash gameplay.....

It's horrible tournament design to leave any decission like this up to the players, make comprehensive rules, grow a pair and stick to them, emotionally involved players shouldn't be involved in this type of decission at all.
|
Well tbh, the only 2 fair outcomes of that was either Tarson himself giving the game up, or a rematch. Can't really blame Tarson for not giving the game away tho, since he wasn't really completely out of it, probably felt he had decent chances (from his side of the map).

good question indeed!!
another good question is why they removed chat rooms, custom games, and game save from there "older" battle net version.

Yeah because Blizzard with their millions of $ in 2010 cant put in a feature to save the game when someone drops? when other games had it 10 years ago

Dimaga is SO much better than Tarson, there skill levels aren't even close. You can't possibly make any assertions based on this tournament. Let's not forget there wasn't a single Protoss that made it either.
There's just not close to enough information at the moment to judge top top level balance. The GOM tournament will give us a better look at balance, until then we should really stop all this nonsense and just enjoy the games.

Guys you couldn't save the multiplayer matches when a player dropped. It is not possible.to reload the game at the time a player disconnected because you must save manually in Wc3 which creates a player-specific save file.
If player 2 drops from the game player 1 might save and load the game up again. But player 2 cannot join the game even when player 1 sends him the save file.
That however doesn't mean that SC2 shouldn't have new features implanted to prevent such things from happening of course...

Because having the tourney admins make an educated guess on who would win the game is the best way to go about it? No, having the players decide is much better.

the thing was just if both decided to let it be a regame it would be a regame, otherwise the refs would make a decision. if either of them didn't want a regame, there would have been a decision.
