Yes, but has he been BANNED from baseball for a season because of it? Or just penalized in some way. (And I beg to differ on the personally insult the umpire, he's thrown a few words around XD).

Following the analogy, the problem is IdrA's first yellow came from arguing and swearing at the ref, and then his second yellow came from scoring a goal that the ref originally allowed and then changed his mind.

Once again, i cannot make this clear enough, there is a clear difference between complaining and making a case, and personally insulting someone.

Interestingly enough the brackets still show IdrA advancing into next round. But as we still don't know the results of several matches that should have ended hours ago (check the bottom part of the brackets) this might be just the admins being lazy. Hopefully it means that they decided not to be too hasty and think things through.

In any sport, if you make a CLEAR mistake and then try to cover it, you can expect a lot of 'negative' feedback, from the fans AND the players.

So you're magically adding penalties now? I thought you said you were going to ban idra for the whole season. Guess you couldn't get away with that now, huh?
Idra called you out for being a 'fucking idiot'. Do you know that you're a 'fucking idiot' ?
Please get more of your cronies to post in this thread, you're losing the PR battle.
Can you provide us a contact email for ESL/IEM management? TL wants you fired for gross incompetence.

Unrelated to the drama, for an EU person who had to go to sleep before the matches were played, are there any VODs up yet/where will they be up?
|
The funny thing is, a lot of people have said that they prefer Esports over actual sports because you don't have to worry about refs screwing over the better team with bad calls. But the ESL finds a way to do that by banning a player because they're mad IdrA called them out for not paying money in previous tournaments.
I just hope that their sponsors hear about this so they know who not to sponsor in the future.

For this to be true: the system would have to allow for retroactive "yellows" or allow for arbitrary penalties to be awareded without the requisite number of penalty points or IdrA would have had to earned himself a second set of 2 PPs after the bigT incident Please prove that one of those 3 things are true.

Agreed.
(and as for the PR battle, ESL is more legendary for being a joke now than IdrA is for being passionate about the game and not being afraid to speak his mind.)
And I wouldn't go so far as to call them all "fucking idiots." :/ Dumbasses may be more appropriate.

Yeah BiggerT was hilarious, not quite over the line, also for the hours I was watching him I never saw him tell people to spam or troll you.
Also BigT had really nothing to do with it being blown up, at first I thought so but Idra responded that he was in no way provoked by him, rather he just didn't want a caster for lag reasons.
Really it comes down to National ESL bending rules (again it is important to remember they are a different branch then IEM or ESL I believe)

I fail to see the difference in the argument regarding personal aggression towards the referee (in this case, admin.) remember, I wasn't the one to start the sports analogies. Simply proving a point, WHATEVER people are passionate about, if you make a personal mistake that determines the outcome be prepared for a bit of backlash.
