starcraft just isn't the same without this level of awesome drama.

Also, going with IdrA on this one. As much of an annoyance he is, he shouldn't even be DQ'd even by ESL rules (as he mentioned). ESL admins really need to stop posting here and just go into damage control

If all of TL sends an email regarding this, ESL will be forced to make a change.

I tried to provide these, but the http://www.esl-world.net/masters/about/contact/contact page on their website is completely blank. Additionaly, the facebook page linked to in an official thread comes up as non existent. It would seem the TL forums are, for the moment, the best place for us to redress our grievances with ESL.

Have you ever seen real sports? People swear ALL the time on the field. They tell refs "f*ck off", etc a lot, and usually it's a technical foul, yellow card, etc. Sports are vicious, and if a league ever made an announcement that they were banning a player for "bad manners", he better damn well be acting way over the top. Sure, IdrA BMs, but if he were in physical sports, he wouldn't even be known for that.

However, I seem to notice "real" sports leagues being a touch more on the ball. Don't see very many do-overs there.

I'd like to know what ESL Europe's position is on this.

The only logical move for ESL is to admit they made a mistake regarding what happened with StrifeCro and the non-communication with involved players, and let the games that need to be played, played, and just move on. If they don't, regardless of what they do in the future, this will be remembered and only sour their reputation.

Lol, ESL Europe? ESL Europe apparently owes IdrA money for a tournament around 7 months ago according to IdrA's message on a match that was being streamed. That's probably one of the other reasons IdrA is so pissed off with ESL.

Apparently banning him for BM but if you read this thread many people doubt this (he only got 2 penalty points and they just tacked an extra few on).

Idra has every right to be pissed off as it is, and if this is true (first time I've heard about it, but it's more than likely.) then I'm even more behind him with this. ESL really is going to fuck themselves over with this one...

He's gotten his 2 yellows, and now he's gotten his red by the system for getting too many PP. 2+2=4, 4 PP = 1 week ban.

So the way I see it is that yes, Idra is BM, that's fine. Some people enjoy it and some don't. Does this give reason for the ESL admins to ban him at a spur of the moment when there was no "last straw?" I wouldn't think so, especially in a "professional organization," if you can call it that.

You made a hasty decision and now you don't have a damn clue what to do. I'd take the majority of the advice given here in these last 5 or so pages. Unban him or find the kind people of TL this "last straw" that was the final marking for the judgment in banning this guy.

As stated before, Idra is a professional gamer, he cannot be expected to wait around after finishing his games in case of screw ups from the ESL admins when he has a busy schedule as Artosis put it. He said he'd do a match in an hour, plenty of evidence of that. Please, share your evidence that pertains to his ban.

Very unprofessional of ESL.

Just to recap the last 15 hours

1.) IdrA refused to let BigT cast his first game after BigT bm'ing IdrA in the ingame chat
2.) HuK forced official gg.net casters to leave his game vs. MorroW because of lag and remade a game with only BigT as caster
3.) After that gg.net refused to let BigT cast the finals of the the EU and US qualifiers and disallowed him to cast the Top8 of the Gosucup. They thought BigT said HuK and MorroW to only let him cast their games ( which is def. not true )
4.) Either StrifeCro or Jobless cheated an caused 2 rounds of the tournament to be replayed
5.) Chill flaming BigT in his BiggerT stream
6.) The whole IdrA vs. ESL thing

Man .. there are golden days to come :D

So he had two, then he suddenly has two more that appear from nowhere.....?

Guess those fans must've thrown in a few cards and you counted those too eh?

DAMN IT, beat me to it. Nice job above poster.

Well in basketball, and most other sports, the referee holds his own right to eject players at his own discretion, even fans can be ejected for foul behavior. I'd also like to not that the players often swear, but they swear into the air, and not directly at the administrators, referees, and umpires, and even indirect actions can be punished severely. Fines are often handed out if they publicly insult the officiating, its called professionalism.

If the money is entitled to Idra and hasn't been paid, I'd sure like to see a reason why for this. He's got a right to be short tempered in such a situation as this.
