Weird question... Why shouldn't it?
I was just curious how it went from like 2,000 to 18,000 all of a sudden. That's just pure win.
I see. As others have mentioned it's mostly because the hype created by the large price pool in combination with HD and Husky having two of the largest SC2 channels on youtube were they promote it.
The tournament is also at a good time that people in NA both west/east coast along with all of Europe can see.

That can hardly work against a great player like idra. Spending that amount of money for those things and not doing much is gg when you play against idra.

Idra doesn't want fans. He wants worshipers and haters.
In any case, foreseen is forewarned. White-Ra will have seen Idra's gameplay and will have time to develop a counter against it. Of course Idra will also have seen White-Ra's gameplay (ie in the EU vs. Asia tournament), so they're both forewarned. Let's see what they each pull out.
IMO, Idra is on the level of top Korean SC 2 pros, not the least because he is in Korea, playing on the Asian server, and probably practice gaming with the Korean pros as well - something that Nony is not able to do in the US.
Nony came out in his chat yesterday and said that the Asia server is above the EU and US server in terms of skill. I think this is what he meant. I have full faith in Nony's ability to defeat Idra but not when he can't get any comparable sort of practice. Being in Korea is really a huge advantage, it seems, for developing your skills, esp. now that ICCUP is no longer available for practicing against top Koreans.
Couldn't agree more.Idra practice a lot on Asian server, when I watching SEN's live stream I saw SEN vs Limper(Idra) on ladder many times
I'm pretty sure Nony practices on other servers as well, judging by how few games played he has on the NA server, and how easily he can get a few extra beta keys.
I have to admit these were totally one sided matches and I can't quite see WhiteRa defeat Idra. Especially after his matches against TLO when I believe he would've lost were it not for TLO to get protoss 3 times in a row. Which is quite a bit offputting to watch the finals knowing that Idra has such a great skill. Im not whining but still the competition seems one sided at the moment.

Im not sure, but are you 'allowed' to link Sen's stream to us? Never seen it and never heard about it.
By the way, I think Idra's ZvP might very well be his strongest match-up. He has demonstrated a definite weakness against Terran harass in his other games, and vs. Z he has been defeated by the top Koreans (ie Check, most recently). Against Protoss, however, I've not seen him lose for a long time since he dropped that game to -orb- (I guess -orb- should be proud he was able to take a game off of Idra when Nony couldn't? But then I feel Idra really got a lot better recently.)
He really upped his play here, and I do think White-Ra is at a disadvantage going into the finals. But who knows? White-Ra has a lot of experience in RTS games and he could surprise us with yet another unexpected build order like the mass zealots + 4 probes rush he did against Sen today.

Idra lost ot Beckham and ACE on Starswar they are protoss
Yea he did, but that was prior to the roach nerf, and I felt the nerf actually made him a lot better for some reason as it got him experimenting strategies beyond "mass roaches with infestors."

he has been doing varied builds and strats before this recent nerf as seen in many of his other games. no way he could have prepared such a solid build only a day or so after patch 12. who seriously thinks someone would do 14 pool 15 hatch into roaches without trying new things for 1k games or whatever he has played so far?
You could be right that this transition was a long time in the making. He was still building a lot of roaches in the show matches before the patch, but this really pushed him over the edge, is what I'm saying.

I totally agree hd has been using this build for long time speedling than straight to hydras and it had worked exceptionally well for him
