+ Show Spoiler + thought Nony would've gotten the 2nd game when he trapped out the hydras with forcefields. should have went for the hydra den or focus on drones instead of the lair which didnt even go down at all.

Nony was totally outplayed, the game on metalopolis was just super awesome, maybe the closest was the phoenix one, but he failed sniping the lair

Wow, game three was just a clinic on how to play hydra/ling. Just great, great play from IdrA. Speedlings to the third base and repeated drops in the main was a great move, backed up by great micro at his base in the final fight. I think Husky put it well. I've seen NonY play the phoenix build a ton, but IdrA clearly knows how to handle it. A lesser zerg player would have lost game two *cough* moonglade.

If things like drops and other harass can be that effective, suddenly multitasking becomes that much more important again. Maybe SC2 has a much higher skill ceiling than we believe right now. This, Europe vs Asia and the NonY vs IdrA games have really showcased how awesome StarCraft 2 can be!

I don't think the problem was that Hydras are super effective against zealots, it was that Nony had like 8 zealots versus something like 35 hydras. I guess without leg speed it's a different story though.

Obviously you can't compare the games directly, but If you do the math, it takes about 29 hydra shots to kill a zeal in SC1, meaning the size modifier essentially almost doubles the zeal's hitpoints in practice, where as you only need a measily 13 in to kill a zeal with a hydra in SC2, less than half. Of course hydras also cost a fuckton of gas these days, so...
