50,000 youtube subscribers heard about it.
Imagine if they sold passes to see this live for $1 each. They could make $5 000 from a single cast.
Of course it would be virtually impossible to manage that. But I would definately be happy to pay to see these casts...

If 'robot' means 'someone who practices builds, times them well, and plays them well'
Then yes, IdrA is a massive robot

And it's the highest priced tourny so far, with top-level players.

nony has horrible micro is what we learned today

Amazing games! I was rooting for Nony because I just love his Phoenix play but Idra was just great.
Mad respect for HD and Husky for the tournament, I'm loving it guys, do want more!

Two gate zealots seem to demolish FE zergs, why dont we see more of it?
Basicly game 1&3 nony builds up medium army to be able to expand. Idra expands and builds up army. Hmm I wonder whats best....You gotta punish that FE when you dont go one yourself.
Im really dissapointed with game 1 and 3=[ Seeing pheonixs was sweet, but they are just way too slow on killing the armored overlords, all the time nony spend doing that, idra was just making more of them, with his much better econ.
Think some DT or voidray play could thrown idra off abit, he doesnt seem to lose any game where he doesnt get harassed alot.

I was just curious how it went from like 2,000 to 18,000 all of a sudden. That's just pure win.

+ Show Spoiler +in G3, nony would have been a lot better off if he didn't mismicro his colossi away from the rest of his force which had some anti air in it...then again, maybe it would have been exactly the same
G2, Nony went for the lair, not unit producing structures, he didn't have enough time to kill the lair...not to mention the stray zealots.
Idra didn't beat a player playing perfectly, he beat someone who was way off their peak game.
I was totally sitting there G2 in the phoenix build thinking "this is how someone beats me when I do this".
I was more disapointed with Nony then impressed with Idra...but that's because Nony did A LOT of disappointing.

Lol, what hassle to transfer money? Do you happen to live in the 80's?

Idra doesn't want fans. He wants worshipers and haters.
In any case, foreseen is forewarned. White-Ra will have seen Idra's gameplay and will have time to develop a counter against it. Of course Idra will also have seen White-Ra's gameplay (ie in the EU vs. Asia tournament), so they're both forewarned. Let's see what they each pull out.
IMO, Idra is on the level of top Korean SC 2 pros, not the least because he is in Korea, playing on the Asian server, and probably practice gaming with the Korean pros as well - something that Nony is not able to do in the US.
Nony came out in his chat yesterday and said that the Asia server is above the EU and US server in terms of skill. I think this is what he meant. I have full faith in Nony's ability to defeat Idra but not when he can't get any comparable sort of practice. Being in Korea is really a huge advantage, it seems, for developing your skills, esp. now that ICCUP is no longer available for practicing against top Koreans.

I see. As others have mentioned it's mostly because the hype created by the large price pool in combination with HD and Husky having two of the largest SC2 channels on youtube were they promote it.

Ya nony wasn't able to practise as idra does everyday
Korean's will always have advantage over the others specially in terms of macro and apm.

UStream doesn't update the viewer count constantly so it conserves bandwidth, I think it's like every 5-10 minutes. But still, 18,000 viewers is baller.

? Obviously idras macro is superstrong but game 1 and 2 didnt have much to do with that. Game 1 he outplayed nony with the ling surrounds and ambushes, game 2 was a very aggressive timing push that idra managed to hold off. The only macro game was game 3.

Because he's more interested in SC 2?
I mean if you want to be more cynical you can think of it as Idra giving up on a game where he cannot possibly progress due to the existing Korean advantage and going to a game where he can start afresh. His coaches were fine with it so I don't see why it's a big deal.
