yes, but I can pay all my bills with this game, I can get kids and so on, you can't do anything except play more starcraft

are you one of the people who failed at trying to go pro in SC and moved to poker like rekrul?
Don't vent your frustrations on someone who is succeeding, Sure you may feel IdrA deserves the disrespect. But havn't we all lost our cool once. Haven't we all gotten pissed off at losing to a bullshit strategy. Hasn't everyone? Idra may do it more. But we all have done things exactly like he does.

no sir I didn't try to go pro.... I switched to poker because everyone I was playing with was leaving the game so I had no more fun playing it

yes like you say we have all lost our cool, but IdrA loses his cool both when he's losing and when he wins, he's just a huge hater, he really believe deep inside that he's smarter and more talented than anyone here....

Many competitive people think the same way. Such as myself. which is why i have another identity.
Some people show it more. Others dont.
IdrA is not a fake person. Hes as real as they come. Only a few people can understand this without being told. If anything you should respect him. I know i personally dont have the balls to openly tell people i think i am much better then them. I think it but i dont say it. Thats one of the differences between IdrA and other pros.

and LOL at the whole 'pride' thing. i guarantee you smuft doesn't give a fuck whos better than who

he played 3rd or 4th highest number of games on the ladder before the reset and he still obs and plays custom frequently. this is not a matter of taking time out of his busy schedule, it is a dodge.

actually for your information smuft pretty much quit SC2 and started grinding poker again before you proposed this bet (and no im not making this up)

the only one dodging is you, you definitely have 5000$ and if you're so sure ur gunna win why not bet it, it's not like you have anything to spend money on anyways

or is the anma eating a hole in ur wallet?

I gotta side with Idra on this one. Rekrul, you know that if you go to a No Limit table and you put John Doe all in, you can't take the extra $$$ John Doe has in his wallet, you can only take what John Doe has on the table. What John Doe has on the table is what he is willing to risk.

Idra cannot afford $5K while Smuft can. Idra is risking all his chips on the table - but he wants to walk out with his wallet in tact, and he has the right to do so.

Raising $5K is a form of dodging. Just as you can't reraise somebody on a No Limit table who already has all their chips in, so you shouldn't be able to reraise somebody to "dodge" their challenge.

bad comparison, they're not sitting at the table yet, John Doe proposed a HU match for 500$, Villain says he won't play below 5000$

John Doe goes "DODGE"

Villain goes "lol wtf"

Real life isn't poker. Even if its +EV. You dont do a bet that will screw you financially once. Even if you have a 90% probability.. if you take that bet too many times It will bite you in the ass more then once. thats life

Actually I'm kind of a whiner too, I'm a sore loser and I happen to be retarded like Idra and say things I think out loud...

but you know what, I think it's really just a lack of self-control and it's a weakness, something you need to work on, IdrA doesn't even seem to realize that yet, so if anything, he doesn't deserve an ounce of respect for saying what he thinks

idra is fucking fake. He just got this habit to fit in with his buddies artosis and assem and now is just keeping it up because of all the attention it gets.
You want a real BM person- that's Androide. Idra is just annoying.

Every argument Fayth has with Idra boils down to Fayth saying "yeah so what I didn't make it in starcraft I make more money with poker nanana"

Poker players are so mature right I actually like most of the poker personalities here but this is silly.

Also I think that If Idra turned to poker he'd have one of the most developed grind skill out of all poker players. I'm pretty sure it's impossible for Idra to be bad at poker because all of the discipline training hes had. (and don't mention tilt problems, Idra plays standard time and time again after being cheesed, I don't think he'd spew.) Also his replay analysis would be sick. He doesn't seem like he would diverge from solid tight play until he was at high limits playing good players.

I think with the work habits Idra has learned from his experience he could excel in any computer-orientated environment that he at least likes.

Because, 99% of the time i cant stand the fucker. But this time hes being wronged.
And even incontrol agrees. Smuft is dodging here. Many other people can see it. Im just one of the few who will speak up for Idra. cause i dont give 2 shits about smuft or his fanbase. much like i dont give two shits about idra.
Im standing up for what i see right now. and thats just a rich kid afraid of losing the one thing he has besides his money. His integrity.

Also Fayth would you bet your bankroll on a 60-70% chance to win if you couldn't borrow from anyone after/had no support if you lose?

This thread is so full of new Idra-isms.

"it kills your betting to have someone who isnt gonna lose playing your matches"

"you see that little line
that means its a different post"

"reading the entire post before replying is often a good idea"

Best nerd fight ever.

It would be the first person i meet who doesn't care about his pride. Im sure its boiling up inside him to find out with a weeks worth of training if he could take down Idra.. Smuft is a competitive person, i know and understand competitive people.
he wants to know.

A BO5 takes 90 minutes max. If he needs a week to practice first than he isn't as good as Idra. If he's as good as Idra he can just play him now and be done by tea-time.
