Dude you don't know anything just stfu Idra is on a pro team, CJ Entus, with other players and a manager + coach. He has a salary, housing, and food. "try to make a living" All he has to do is get really fucking good at SC2 and beat everyone else, win tournaments etc, and he will get paid a lot. He has a pro gaming team already backing him and allowing him to train all day Learn your facts before you start talking nonsense, this was a huge waste of time typing to your dumb ass self talking about shit you have no idea about. Listen I love new fans but please, don't talk like you know anything and Idra should "talk to boxer". THey don't even speak the same language and are probably similar skill wise. Ye your just a troll.... Boxer is much wiser. And has probably stumbled upon a lot of things in his career which would be worth hearing about. And i also mentioned he should get a translator but you didnt read my post.. You also have no idea who i am and have no idea what my experiences are in professional gaming. they don't extend to living in a pro house. But i have a good idea what im talking about.. im not sure you quite understand that im talking about his career as a pro...I really think you would be surprised how much more Boxer might know then flash. obviously flash is better but there are things you don't understand till your older. and thats what im pointing out. Are you idras 2nd account?
Hey listen I dont know you at all, or anything about your profession, or really anthign in general. But you could probably get some advice from President Obama, go call him up, get a news reporter with you, and get some advice about your future, as you seem to be a human being, it can't hurt and he is wise. Also I wouldn't call up rekrul as he is younger than obama and might not know as much about life.
This is good advice!
Also poker players, I would definitely call up Jamie gold and get some advice from him, he made 12,000,000 dollars so you can learn a lot.
Oh yeah Idra also call up fatal1ty and get some advice on gaming, since he was a pro gamer before you he can offer unique insights.
Dude idra is on a pro team with coaches, housing, managers, and other to players. The only thing he has to do is get better at SC2. He doesn't have to worry about the same shit boxer did in the least. Also he has been living at becoming a pro gamer for 2 YEARS in korea he isn't "trying to figure this pro gaming stuff out". He just needs to get better / dominate SC2.

No I'm running for fun events to get SC2 going and NA players more motivated cuz at the time Europe had way more events. Anyway offer more advice to Idra about pro gaming cuz you are an expert. Please be knowledgeable about the subjects you talk about, especially when advising a player that has been on a pro team for 2 years.

slow down on the insults dac, u'll just get banned

Fayth YOU haven't been banned yet. So why not take a bit of your own advice and chill on the idra bashing this whole thread right now is just massively derailed and I think there should be a new thread for the Smuft vs Idra grudge match if both players are serious abou tit.

Sorry starcraftmaster I edited any personal insults above, and apologize for them, I tilted a bit Like personally I would never "give professional advice" to Idra because he has been living in korea 2 years on a team and knows far more than me about it, but I understand there are people out there who think they know more about korean starcraft and facts such as boxer being a pro gamer.
When offering advice to a player who you know nothing about, especially the fact he has been on a pro team playing Starcraft for 2 years professionally, and I mean real pro aka paid (even if it isn't a good salary), it might help to know these facts, or some backstory / knowledge of the Korean scene. The fact Idra has already become one of the first professionally (paid to play covering all his expenses) Starcraft 2 players might be an important fact to consider when giving said person advice.
Like for instance Idra, has a manager and coach he can talk to about pro gaming. If he wanted to talk to any player, he has a whole team he can ask his manager to translate for that would be easier than talking to boxer (driving to SKT1 house with a translator and having time to talk to boxer is just absurd for the benefit).
Either way Idra has been living as a pro gamer for 2 years, he's not Ret (before coming to korea), he knows the realities of pro gaming. The only thing he has to worry about is becoming really good at SC2 (professionally at least).

so Ket wants to take 1k of action, idra is willing to put 500$ of his own money.
theres just another 3.5k to go who else wants to buy action!
come on guys no1 wants to read all this arguments but everyone is eager to see this epic grudge match so lets make this happen!

I trust that the honest purpose of this event was simply to produce entertaining games and that getting mixed up in the talk was a mistake.

It's bankroll management Fayth...
If you get into an argument with bill gates about who's a better basketball player, and you challenge him to play for 1k$ one on one, and he raises everything you own you'll probably decline, even though it's an obvious dodge.
the bottom-line is unbacked claims aren't worth anything.

Unless im remember incorrectly smuft didn't claim he could beat idra currently in a showmatch w/o any practice, he said if he has 5k worth of motivation and a weeks worth of practice that he will be willing to do battle, not that he will guarantee a win, which is a pretty reasonable thing imo
anyway, to make this happen, i'll put up 1k along w/ Ket, as long as idra has $500 of his own money on the line. so thats 2.5k so far, any others chip in to make this happen?

There's a critical amount of people at this community who are able and willing to play with a decent amount of money, like 1k $. That makes me sad, because I am struggling to pay the bills most of the months and folks here are throwing cash for fun and possible gain. BUT what makes me happy is that we might see this sure-to-be epic match between IdrA and Smuft.

On April 06 2010 13:20 Dacendoran wrote: This whole thread has degraded into Fayth trolling the crap out of Idra and Idra taking the bait. It's obvious Smuft is dodging Idra and being extremely pretentious (Smuft I mean). Honestly you're making this a public showcase and just want attention for this, (everyone arguing on this thread) when all that the community wants is to see a grudge match right now, $500 or $5000 what does it matter when you can (in theory) shut Idra the hell up.
Maybe Smuft could grow up and realize that everyone's financial situation isn't the same and that acting like a pretentious ass gets you nowhere, you both are apparently god's gift to starcraft and Idra is manning up and putting $500 (Which is a lot to a normal person if you didn't know). So let's get this grudge match on and bring the childish slander to PMs.
Agree with Dacendoran. Since $500 doesn't seem like much for Smuft, it's a good chance for Smuft to shut Idra up. Heck, Smuft doesn't even have to think of the $500 - he just has to think of the opportunity to put Idra back in his place.
The $5K raise is kinda retarded and a lame excuse.
