This build is great for gold to master league players.
Instead of focusing on Zergling Baneling Mutalisk, this build focuses more on Roaches in the early and middle part of the game while transitioning into Ultralisks in the late part of the game. All the while upgrading the units until we hit +3 Melee and +3 Armor at the 17 minute mark.
This build is especially strong versus the standard Bio Mine play (Marine Mauder Medivac Mine) and also works versus variations of this style. Versus Mech, you can add Hydralisks to your Roach army instead, and at Hive tech you can add some Vipers to deal with the Siege Tanks while using blinding cloud.
The focus of this build is strong early game versus Terran, easy to control army composition, easy to defend in the early game.
The weakness of this build comes mostly in the middle part of the game, as we skip Mutalisks the Terran drops become significantly stronger, and because we delay the third Hatchery timing attacks with non-stop aggression will be tricky to deal with if the Terran scouts properly.
The benchmarks that you try to hit with this build order is Ultralisks at the 15 minute mark, and +3 +3 upgrades at the 17 minute mark.
Nice video and a good build. Thanks for the effort you put into it.
How do you feel about starting out with a HuyN style roach push (as explained by Khaldor here) instead of 4 queen opining? This would probably delay your transition, but if the Terra goes for reapers and/or Helions it will give you a headstart into the game. Because you get your roach warren early on to, you have no money wasted on tech you would not need later on. From my expirence combining this two strats against a reaper opining often works really good. But what do you guy's think about it?
nice video, well made and even somewhat entertaining. But the build is weak in the mid- to lategame for a couple of reasons. Unlike your Upgrades Terran doesnt need to get a hive + infestation pit to have his +3+3 finish. Though, if you manage to get the hive timed out for +3+3 you will be in good shape but the tricky part is to have your 3rd saturated early enough to be able to afford it when a Terran comes at you with hellion banshee or even midgame drop play to which you have no clear answer. So you will inevitably find yourself in a position where you are being attacked, your +3+3 and ultras get delayed and Terran has all the freedom to keep dropping you all game long and finish you off with his own +3+3 timing before yours finishes.
So to make this build work you will need to enter the midgame with some sort of advantage gained from your early roaches. That can be stronger creep spread, some successfull harras, a kill on the Hellion squad, a delayed 3rd for terran. it doesn´t have to be all that much but it needs to net you a sufficient army advantage in the midgame to be able to split your army to deal with multidrops and frontal pushes at the same time.
