Why do people still play this game at the lower levels when all it is a battle between cheese/anti-cheese? Is that really fun for people?

Learn to counter and scout the cheese. If you manage to survive, usually the other player has no idea of what he is supposed to do and he will lose. Most of the time, it means :
- Terran : wall + bunker + multiple scv on auto repair ;
- Toss : wall + canon (or sentry + forcefield) ;
- Zerg : spinecrawler.

First send your workers, then build one, then split 2-3 workers IMHO.

Dammit, I don't have a simple question (that is, can't think of one right now). Great threat though! Go zatic! (On a side note: Is bw>sc2, terran imba, or other things that nearly all threads go to after some time? I'm kidding of course, ignore the above lines, they are just for laughs)

question 1: if I use neural parasite on a medivac/warp prism/overlord that is carrying units, and then unload them, who controls the unloaded units?

A: me
B: the original owner of the "dropship"
C: it becomes a critter/neutral or other

question 2: if I neural parasite a unit and try to pick it up in an overlord/warp prism/medivac that I control, which of the following happens?

A: if the unit is of the wrong race in comparison to the "dropship", it can't be picked up
B: it can't be picked up
C: it can be picked up, neural parasite ends, and I control the unit for the rest of the game
D: other
E: a combination of the above, if so, which combination?

question 3: if I neural parasite an overlord/medivac/warp prism and try to load up a unit into it, what happens?

A: if the unit is of the wrong race in comparison to the "dropship", it can't be picked up
B: it can't be picked up
C: it can be picked up but when neural parasite ends, the original owner of the "dropship" will control the unit for the rest of the game
D: other
E: a combination of the above, if so, which combination?

For Terran & Protoss: Start producing one.
For Zerg: Start sending your workers.

Why? Because for zerg, minerals is the limiting factor in the start, while for the other races - SCV/Probe buildtime is.

As for me (Z), I hold ctrl+f1 (my keybind for selecting all idle), click the minerals, quickly click hatchery and go "S -> D" followed by splitting off 2 of my drones, then sending my overlord away and keybinding stuff.

When my natural is finished, should i spilt my workers in half, and have my nexus rallied at different mineral lines, or send a few probes my natural, and have both nexus rallied to the natural?

This is really up to you and what mechanic works best for you. Mineral patches mine the most efficiently at two rock; 16 probes mine 8 patches at a 200% rate, if you have optimal saturation of 3 rock they mine at a 250% rate. You can nab a few more minerals if you saturate your main and your natural evenly. There are also other things to consider, like which probes are easier to protect, in the early game you can use probes for defense, ect.

The only one I can think of is the evo chamber. And I am sure it has one, i have just never noticed. I am pretty sure they all have animations.

Who gets comabt sheilds first? You shoudl choose between Stim, or the shells first. It's purely preference

Generally you have enough hotkeys for your units and buildings.

For Zerg, you only need 3-4 hotkeys for structures and unit-producing.
For everything else, it's generally more, but you can similar techs onto the same hotkey, giving you a lot of room.

They were imbalanced or just generally disliked by the majority of the people.

Kulas Ravine because the cliffs made Terran incredibly strong for drops, tanks or even Thor rushes.

The last questions are about if you have your set of templar you have built from a stolen probe building a gateway, cyro, citadel, templar archives, and then instead of researching storm, you just NP an enemy templar.
Or more likely, in ZZ you NP a hydra that has range and +3 attack and armor researched. Do your Hydras now have the upgrades? I believe they don't, the 1 unit you NPed has all the upgrades it had before during and after the NP (the one the enemy researched), and all your units only have the upgrades you have researched.

I was going to ask, if you NP two templar or DTs, can you merge an archon? No.

As Protoss (and as a rather low tier player), how do I counter mass void-ray or mass muta? Against mass muta, I've tried mass blink stalker (which didn't work out so well), but against mass void-ray, do I just have to get more phoenixes or just macro/mirco better?

A very strong build against both Zerg and Protoss is the 4-Gate.




With your situation, there are no counters technically, but when encountering both of those units, Phoenix are quite. You also, generally, don't want to let them mass-up.
