Hello community,
its only a simple question without any replay or something. Yestersay i had an enemy, who first harassed me with like 7 hellions then get marine and marauder to stop my roach tech and it was simply over. With my Muts i cant do any damage because he has stimmed Marines and Medicacs (only 10 maybe?). Then he got MMM+Hellions and runs over my base... I dont know how to counter that simple build from Terrans. If I find the replay ill post it here.

sounds like a job for infestors and banelings. Mutas arent very useful in straught up fights against terran bio, marines are just too powerful. you could still get a few for worker harassment, but dont rely on them to win you the game.

keep a healthy roach count and use fungal growth to nullify the bio mobility and banelings to deal spike damage that the medivacs cannot out-heal, then clean out the leftovers with roaches.

of course, this only works if you have not taken too much damage from the initial hellion attack...

The only way a Terran can manage to mass 7 Hellions early enough to be harass effective is to have a reactor on the factory. This is easily scouted by going up the ramp. The obvious response should have been a spine or two or to go early roach.

Shutting down the double reactor effectively will force the Terran to stop hellion production to do something else.

In which case, you should have followed it up with ling + banes + handful of roaches given that you scouted his mmm after a failed reactor hellion

Not every terran places everything in the front... can't fully rely on that happening every time.

If he doesn't build the reactor off the first rax, it will be too late to do any good damage.

But arent Banelings quite inefficient against Marauder? His army was mostly marauder maybe 15, 10 rines and 2-3 Medivacs. Yeah and some Hellions.

Also i dint know really WHEN to stop Worker Production and go for some units. This is mostly the problem I lose

Mostly marauder and hellions and only some marines is probably gonna warrant going lots of mutas and keeping the terran pinned in his base so you can just kill the maruaders and hellions with mutas and do mostly baneling with some lings to roll the marines. I mean it obviously depends on the match but if you're having problems with early hellion pressure I feel is best dealt with 3-5 roaches or 1-2 extra queens. That way you can keep working on getting your mutas up.

if hes marauder heavy you want a bit more lings and a tad less banelings.

if you can kill a solid amount of marines with banes, speedlings will eat marauders alive

Really? To me as zerg, you should be able to amass enough roach sling bling and a flank to dominate that army, EASILY. Roach for cannon fodder, blings for marine/hellion. Slings and blings > rax units as rax units > gateway units

It's all about how you start and approach the battle. I can't count how many people use 1 hotkey for everything. I guess the sc2 spoiled us all. Seperate, and flank and enjoy the outcome.
Unbiased biased terran abuser Jeffrey. Sorry for the rage, friend!

Idk, i tend to do sling/bling/muta vs that...
Slings to block rines/trap rauders, banes to crush the rines or hellions, and then muta to clean up..
Also, try burrow :p

One question regarding Zerg's Creep Tumor (it's stupid to open new thread for it):

http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Creep_Tumor

Here it says "10". Does it mean 10 hex fields or what? If yes, how large is one hex field in SC2?

Thanks.

Mutas sound great against this army. 10 marines is nothing, you should have 10 muta at this point and you can clean his entire army up.

Its just a sliding composition.

Heavy Marine
light Marauder
Hellion

countered by

Heavy baneling
Light muta
Medium Ling

Light Marine
Heavy Marauder
Hellion

Countered by

Light Baneling
Heavy Muta
Medium ling

(Don't make too many lings vs hellions)

I'm sure you get the idea

In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.

If you already are pumping out some roaches you simply need to add some lings and, more importantly, banelings to the mix. With the roaches soaking up damage like they do thatll allow the blings to clean house while the lings help clean up the job. Just make sure the hellions dont get a clear line at your blings/lings or yah toast.

I also would like to know what this post is trying to enlighten us with...I apparently am just not understanding what its referring to:

It was in response to the poster noting that Terrans sometimes hide buildings.

I am saying that unless the first rax prebuilds a reactor for the incoming factory to use, the reactor will be far too late to do any harm to the Zerg.
