This is not a obvious question as it sounds. I started studying some replays of pro players(like dimaga and idra) and i can't really find out when they do expand or make drones. If i expand early like him its gg as i have to make a lot of zerglings in order to survive some early push and if i do make a lot of zerglings im not making drones and will stay behind in economy for a long while(enoght for the opponent to do push and rape me like np).
What's enoght saturation? I've seen idra expand and not have money for enoght drones for a while and stay behind in economy also(would be a better decision to wait for a suitable time to expand). Man, this is so risky. Hes just playing lucky a lot of times if you try to analize. When i see a protoss or a terran playing there's close to none luck involved at least in that kind of choices as they can make scvs or probes and still make their army bigger.
Also, doing some time calculations, idra could easily be rushed by most of the time that hes playing but the enemy just attacks when it's favorable for him(at least in most cases)... wtf? How do i get that sense?
People here on my league attack whenever they can, so i should just accept to lose by somebody really bad because this game has so much luck involved?
Don't tell me to scout because i do and it's not everytime that i know what's happening with my enemy. Knowing that my enemy has a starport don't make me know when he's going to attack me, he might not even make some banshees and go straight to battlecruiser or some stupid shit.
Please help. I'm even thinking of playing another race, it's so frustrating to play zerg and not be able to pratice at least 12 hours a day to be able to beat a terran with their funny learning curve that plays 2 games a week and is "good".

Having game sense is not "playing lucky". The problem with analyzing replays is that you often miss that part. Your part about scouting already displays that you have a poor idea of game sense. I can't give you proper advice since it's obvious you're in this mindset that's not even going to attempt to learn from your mistakes.

When i was in the lower leagues i got away with fast expanding every game, as i got to the higher division i cant defend pushes well enough to do that. - i currently use a relatively safe expand build
I generally drone up till about 22-26 - if no cheese is coming - chuck down an expansion. Then scout more with lings, if you see pressure coming you have 2 hatcheries and 2 lava rotations to hold of pressure. and if they start teching to higher tier things you can drone and tech up.
Holding the xelnaga tower is really key for this build because if you do see pressure coming you should have enough lava popping to get an army before they arrive, with 1 spine crawlers or 2 for defence.
Make sure you spread creep, this is really key. Once lair pops get overlord speed and scout what there doing.
Zerg is all about knowing when to drone and when to build an army - a key point to this is knowing early pressure builds. i.e. - fast pool, reapers, 2gate, bling...

Took me a while to figure out the basics about choosing when to build eco or army but this is what I've learned:
First of all like tfc said you've got to know the opening builds.
Good thing about zerg is that you decide when to build drones and when to build army. The best way to decide is to use constant agression. Don't all-in - just force him to show his cards and build number and type of units depending on what you saw. Allways assume he's massing an army untill you know otherwise. Then if you see he is expanding or he's got a small or badly composed army or if you just crushed his push: expansion time!!
Don't just scout ONCe with drone. sac OL, spawn changeling etc...
EDIT: ofc you've got to know the counters to his army composition - but that's bascially what all other TL strategy threads are about.
