you and your partner have more workers and resources than they do so you can kill them with yor workers

sth like - you see 12 scvs into your base. just micro your probes around and don't let them kill the nexus while waiting for your partner's workers. you kill their workers by having 2 more or sth and you're ahead.

I can't believe you lost when your ally sent his scvs. You would have been like 8-10 when they arrived with 6 each. Your ally should have had at least 11 by the time you called for help. 20 vs 12 ? How did you lose? Replay please. Also your ally teching to banshee reapers marine fast expanding anything would have worked easily.

I concur.

And why banshees? 2 people have suggested it vs 2 Terrans.. unless you mean cloak as well. But wouldn't you expect them to have OCs by then?

Your partner gets reapers. Mass win. They will have scvs vs reaper for the longest time if you harass both at the same time, while walling in on your ramp. Well, your partner that is, not you.

I would laugh me ass of if people SCV rushed me like that I would keep his workers busy for as long as possible.

let me mate do a cheesebuild which is still viable at the time and just kill em outright and laugh in their faces lol

I actually did this strat a couple times with some friends in 3v3... works really well if the teammates of the person we're attacking don't send reinforcements fast enough.

Partner should have let you die and just killed them 2v1. They have no economy and it would be really easy.

Similarly in 4v4 when they all rush one of us, we usually feel like we end up ahead because then that guy becomes the dedicated microer and rapes every battle.

I agree =). In a 4v4 i was the first person to get rushed and my base totally screwed, all i was left with was an observer. After realizing how boring one observer is to control an entire game i asked for control of some units - i was given 20 mutas. If you have one person dedicated to harassing with mutas, you are an annoying mofo.

Technically, if your micro was superb wouldn't you just be able to abuse probe shield regen and micro 6 probe vs 12 scv?

You'd be surprised at how difficult it can be to pull off a successful worker rush. Me and some friends were trying this in 3v3, and we found that we could only kill 2 players before the third had units out, ending our fun.

It took a bit of ingenuity to finally pull it off successfully. 2 players would attack one base at a time, while the third player split their forces to harass the other opponents. Attack their workers, pull them off the mineral line, back away, repeat. This prevented them from getting out an army while the other 2 players worked their way down.

sorry, but no. probes win. they can attack to deplete shields, run around to max health and then attack again. scv is the loser. drones regen health too slowly.

also, more larva doesn't do anything when you have no income.

most people have covered how to deal with this. However what can be worse is the 2 scouting (3 in 3v3 and 4 in 4v4) worker gank. Imagine tryign to build a barracks but you have 2 workers harass you instead of one, or 2 workers trying to gank stuff in the mineral line. excellent way to use up apm early game.

This should be an easy win for the team that gets rushed. The worst thing that could happen is what did - your partner tried to help out. You fight 12 on 7 and lose, then he fights 10+ on 8 or so and loses too.

Just keep your workers alive, while you delay and harass as much as possible. Your ally should just play normally and get some early T1 units.

Another bad thing that could happen is your ally QUITS when you get rushed thinking the game is over. Far from the case. I have easily won games 2v1 after my ally quit. Even one game where my ally disconnected at the start! (That's easier since you now have 2x the workers and can do some amazing strats.)

would you not have enough time for a pylon and gate? or is the rush just too fast? Sorry for i have not experienced a rush (so i dont know the timing of when it arrives) but if you chronoboost your probes wouldnt you have a decent amount of probes, plus hopefully during the chaos you might have enough time to throw down a gate (asuming you havev enough minerals) and wouldnt that shy them away from harassing further? plus if they attack the gate and almost kill it you can always cancel and restart, futhering the distraction as your partner makes an army

I had this once when i was playing 4v4 Random. Since i was terran I just lifted my cc and stuck it at the bottom of my ramp, trapping in their 18 workers. Ally sent an scv for repair and it was gg.

Just try to stall them as long as possible. If you can stop the rush you've basically won the game right there, just like most cheeses.

Go attack one of your enemies bases with your probes, they will likely be building SCVs at home and you will outnumber them there. Have your partner polish them off once he gets units. Try to keep at least 1 worker alive though.
