I play a lot of 2v2 and if you have ever been knocked down to almost 0 workers you would understand how far behind they will be. As its already been said here, your partner should have ignored the silly cheese attack and made a few tier 1 units. Sure its 2v1, but they will not have an army at all until 8-10 minutes. A couple of marines and a mara, one pack of lings, a couple z's and thats all you will need.

defniitely have partner ignore the rush. have him send one unit over when he can. It's not like that will affect his economy.

The best way to stop this is to take your workers and run them away then try to surround one of theirs to kill it.

one player or maybe both will take all their workers off attacking your town hall, at which point you just run your workers away.

THis will either kill all their workers one at a time, or delay the amoutn of damage they're doing to your town hall over time.

It happened to me only once but it failed miserably
I just staled with my probes (since they can regen shield and scvs can not)
When they'd attack my nexus I'd try to surround 1-2 scv
Once my partner got lings it was pretty much gg (yes they flew away to island but that only postponed our win)

I can't believe you lost when your ally sent his scvs. You would have been like 8-10 when they arrived with 6 each. Your ally should have had at least 11 by the time you called for help. 20 vs 12 ? How did you lose? Replay please. Also your ally teching to banshee reapers marine fast expanding anything would have worked easily.

Same with any proxy fail rush in 2v2, let yourself die while ally bunkers up and owns both of their bases with 2 units.

Oh, and to help your ally, send your scvs/anything you scraped together before they showed up, to the enemy base, to speed the destruction of their econ.

Drones only beat SCVs if they get the first hit or if they run away enough (at which they are inferior to probes)

They regen 2 health over the course of a 1v1 worker fight to the death, meaning they effectively have 42 hp. Equal with an SCV in number of hits.

In a large worker battle I think you'd want probes - with perfect micro (there's nothing to macro!) you can probably get a lot of shield regen - hell you could carefully pull your whole army away, regen up the 20 hp each and re-engage at a bigger advantage.

You want probes in a giant worker battle because probes have shield regen (Fast), and I think they have better acceleration which lets them micro eaisier.

Anyhow what you do in these situations is you try to micro your probes around and make them take as long as possible to kill your nexus. Your ally shares control, and you guys use 1 reaper each to prevent your opponents from getting rax's up and kill them outright. If they lift... it doesn't even matter. Just mass expo and pump minerals into your ally to get him back up on his feet.

Thanks for sharing your tips guys. I sort of panicked when it happened and my partner is pretty new to the game so neither of us were ready for this. The thing is he sent his scvs after my probes were all dead, hence why they all died too.

And no wai, I'm not posting a replay of this shameful event.

If this happens again I'll tell him to stay home and share control. Thanks again.

Depending on the map, micro to keep them busy and have your terran teammate wall the workers into your base? Then they can play 2v1 with 1 starting scv each :D.

this happened once to a friend and me

sadly for them i noticed it early so we managed to do a short time prepare and actually sandwitched the scv's in the ramp :p

we won because we had more workers and more workers able to attack

Against that you must try to snipe the SCVs off one by one and then run away to recharge your shields. Have your ally do 14cc into a macro game. Even if they kill you, your ally will defeat your opponents 1v2.

The reason you lost was because you told your ally to send his SCVs instead of letting him 1v2.
