So in theory ( only tried out vs AI )
You mass drones like you always do with zerg. Then go fast expand with fast dual queens and early spinecrawlers. Then with the first 2 queens go for creep tumor first to start the slow push.
Here on out just mass drones and spinecrawlers with constant queen production for transfusion. You dont need gas only 1 if you want some upgrades on your spine crawlers. Slow push your enemy to death ? speed it up when you have allot of queens and throw down allot of tumors.
viable fun strat yes or no?

Seems fun but I think a 4 gate push would take this out, especially with some decent micro. Static D is vulnerable to micro and other attacks. Try it though, it sounds badass!

Terrans will just lift off. Also you're better off dropping a nydus network in their base and using queen creep tumors and overlord spawn creep to pull it off. It's amusing but only works against newbs.
|
It sounds fun for FFA but probably not possible to pull off in 1v1.
to counter your main base with for example mutas or reapers or shut you down using superior range for example tanks
|
viable fun strat
Sure. I've tried this before and had problems with anything that outranges spine crawlers. Also, breaking ramps is pretty much impossible.
It's like Terran mech, but without the mobility, slower sieging tanks, less range, no splash damage, etc.

|
I feel like your opponent would figure out what you were doing pretty quick and just outrange you with tanks, go around you with a drop or a nydus, or figure out a bunch of other things to do. If it worked though I'd imagine it'd be really funny.

reminds me of this day[9] episod ( http://day9tv.blip.tv/file/3743156/ ) there is some mass queen action. but with early roaches to transition into queens.
queens spinec. only wont get u that far i think....
|
You can't JUST go crawlers and queens, they don't have the ommph. However, throw in some roaches and you have a viable strategy against people who expo when they see you throwing up lots of crawlers instead of teching.
The big problem with this strat is that your base can just get counterattacked before your crawlers get to his. But otherwise, bringing some queens and a few crawlers on a push with you can win you the game.

Sige tank can go out at 6 minutes mark. (without economic slow down)
I play terran and when I see to much static deff I just go Nuke

Does this make artosis a newb then? Sen beat artosis handily with this build (may have incl a few roaches).
Works best vs zerg as you can make use of enemy creep

Yeah agree with most of you guys, it still sounded like something fun though, the biggest trouble i think is mobility and the fact that it takes ages for them to reburrow. I am a random player myself but this just came to mind, since transfusion is so badass i wanted to ask some opinions, i could see allot of plays revolve around transfusion in the future.

immortals decimate crawlers, and colossi can outrange crawlers. i realize they are kind high in the tech tree, but if your strategy is to 'slowly push' all the way from your home base to the enemy, they'll be able to tech that high before you get there.
this would be best if you do the hatch-cancel outside their base to generate enough creep to lay down tumors outside their base, then push in.

Agreed, but walking a queen up there takes forever and will probably get scouted which results in your queen getting sniped...
All roads lead to fun strat that MIGHT catch your opponent off guard, but is unlikely and more for lols.

Consideration of a transition or complimentary higher tech would be worth exploring to make this less all in.
|
Tanks, Nuke, Collsis, Carriers will shut it down vs anyone with half a brain.
|
Like everyone said, sounds more like something to just have fun with. It's severely limits zergs capacity to be mobile, and that is the heart of zerg strategy.
|
As a zerg player, I've never been successful with this build; it's just too far out of my comfort zone to build that many queens. That said, Zelniq, Sen, and other high level players have had fantastic success with this build in certain scenarios. That said, I've never seen it work without a solid squad of roaches out from; Queens and Crawlers alone is simply too immobile and non-durable.
Like I said, I've never had success with it, but some of the best players in the world have used a variation of Mass Queen to bull some surprising wins in high level play.

Try it see how it works. Then post us an replay

The key to this build is to gain map control with lings, and position your ovies so as soon as you hit lair tech you can just march your queens/crawlers right up to his base.
Map control also keeps him from scouting you too hard.
