Greetings.
SC2 Alternate Melee Mod is a new game flow mod, redesigning SC2.
HotS and BW's gameflows were mixed with LotV multiplayer contents. Applied as an Extension Mod for Multiplayer LotV - it can be played on any melee map.
playable in EU, US, Asia, but this now only supports English and Korean. (I would really appreciate it if you could provide technical support for multilingual support and application!)
Features
Most of units' DPS decreased and stats or abilities rebalanced.
- Ex, Marine's attack period is down from 0.86 to 0.882(same as Brood War Marine DPS(Referred to BW Liquipedia), for a formula that multiplied SC2 gamespeed(*1.4).)
Most of splash damage is gradually decreased by radius(but get more effective radius), like BW splash attack units.
- Ex, Thor Javelin AA, Widow Mine, Baneling, Disruptor[reworked], etc
Inverse counter damage. In SC2, the more attribute tags are attached to the unit, the more often those are the loss. Ex, some arcade maps offer the upgrades that removes attribute tags.
- In this mod, The advantages and disadvantages of the attributes are clearly distinguished.
- Ex, Liberator deals less damage to vs Armored, Ravager's Corrosive Bile deals less damage to vs Light.
- Ex, Liberator deals less damage to vs Armored, Ravager's Corrosive Bile deals less damage to vs Light.
Redesigning Protoss (typically Gateway and Warp Gate)
- When protoss researched Warp Gate, Gateway can product units 27% faster. We can still use Warp Gate, but shields of the units warped in by Warp Gate will be evaporated, and Warp Gate get cooldown 150% of Gateway's production time.
This is referred to the former GSL Korean Commentator, Engine aka Ahn-Joon-Young(HotS Random Master in top 8 of group)'s SC2 Column about Warp Gate.
- Disruptor is reworked. Purification Nova's damage and cooldown becomes half, but it causes negative effect that reduces attack speed and being healed rate by 70% for 6s.

- Motherships Core is now on, and Battery is reworked.
Pylon Photon Overcharge, Battery Overcharge, Mass Recall is cast by Mothership Core.
Pylon Overcharge's DPS is 21.875(multiplied gamepseed), but while it activated, that Pylon takes more damage by 40% and its shields will be evaporated fast. It has 2 charges.
Shield Battery can only restores units' shields. its HPS is down from 50.2 to 18.2.
Battery Overcharge causes Battery is able to restore structures, HPS is up to 30.8(down from 100.4). and it can also heal units doubly along with the normal battery.

Redesigning Zerg
- Queen's Spawn Larvae can cast automatically, Zerg's scouting and creep bonus is nerfed a little.
This is based on my personal analysis. Top-tier Zerg(Serral, Reynor, Dark, Rogue, etc) players show very strong macros against other races, but most normal Zerg gamers complain of fatigue.

Uniform and abundant amount of resources. 1500*8 mineral fields, 2500*2 geysers. (WoL~HotS)
Have 7 workers at the start of the game. (close to WoL~HotS)
Brood-War's resources collecting rate. a worker carry 8 minerals at once, only 2 workers need to gather a vespene gas, not 3.
- We require 20 workers, not 22 per a base by gathering a gas with only 2 workers. This will increase the number of combat troops.
Harassment strategies become more risky. we have to spend more resources to scatter opponent's minds and time.
- Ex, Banshee's Cloaking costs is increased to 150/150 from 100/100, Adept's Psionic Transfer needs research, Mutalisk's life regeneration needs research.
New(or old) 2 Units and some structures are added to Each races. Didn't remove LotV Multiplayer units.
- Terran: Medic(BW), Armourgrenadier(Tier 2 Barracks flamethrower unit), Battlegroup Headquarter(Allows to product Medic and Armourgrenadier)
- Zerg: Tyrannozor(Tier 2 melee unit), Leviathan(Tier 3 Greater Spire unit), Primal Nest(Allows to product Tyrannozor)
- Protoss: Dragoon(BW), Mothership Core, Tabernacle of Testimony(Upgrading Adept and Oracle)
- Zerg: Tyrannozor(Tier 2 melee unit), Leviathan(Tier 3 Greater Spire unit), Primal Nest(Allows to product Tyrannozor)
- Protoss: Dragoon(BW), Mothership Core, Tabernacle of Testimony(Upgrading Adept and Oracle)
