My First Serious attempt at making a starcraft 2 map

This is the best first map I've ever seen.
That being said, you should add another base on each side, preferably close to natural, so people can take a third base before 17 minutes.

There's a lot of experimental stuff going on. I'd suggest starting off with something more standard. Aesthetics are great though. I see a lot of potential.

Hmm not bad for a first try. Like the theme. Dat rush distance...

My first concern would be the island. A reduced expansion with Rocks on an Island is overkill. The only reason you would ever take that would be for the presence on the map, not for the base it isn't worth it. I could also be concerned with the low number of bases and the hard to take Third.

The gold base is perfect. A centered gold base on a map like this is nearly always good design.
The basic key to beating a priest is playing a deck that is terrible.

Certainly not bad for a first map and much cleaner than most (read: dont doodad spam people!).

I fee like it would be incredibly difficult to take a third against air play.

For a first try, this is not a bad map at all. It really seems like it was well thought. My most inmediate concern is the lack of a good 3rd base. The upper right/left are too far, and the middle are too close to enemy position. An additional expansion between the naturals and the top rights/lefts should help for that.

I assume I'm the 1st to comment since the new version was added. I have to admit for a 1st map this extremely good.

My only major concern is the low ground main, however given the rush distance you can probably wall off your natural without issue. Everything else looks good.

For those who don't know this guy is a pretty well-established BW mapmaker so it's reasonable that those mapmaking skills might transfer over to the new game.

The basic key to beating a priest is playing a deck that is terrible.

Bad part about it is that i actualy don't have hots and i can't upload or play the maps i make yet lolz
And yeah negativezero is right to some extent, i have made some maps for broodwar as well : )

Suggestions for improving the map or feedback is always welcome :
