Savage Arena is a small map that I made for playing random FFA (or 2v2) with my friends. It supports up to 4 players.
Map Info: Size: 106x106 XWT: None Four 8M2G Bases Four 4M1G Bases Four 3HM Bases Two 4HM2HG Bases Available: NA
I created the boundaries of the map with rocks and used the pathing tool to create the pathways. It's all one level and therefore I used Line of Sight Blockers on and around the rocks to make sure you can't see over them constantly. There are destructible rocks that lead to gold bases and also backdoors into the player base.
So you need four buildings to wall the choke on this small map? I'll be right back, I'm gonna go 6 pool some noobs! Maybe you can shrink the choke a little, other than that, this looks like a nice, fun map for HotS.

Yeah, that was a concern of mine about 6 pools being very strong. But hopefully if you're playing with friends they won't be complete assholes and 6pool you constantly. That or I guess you could 10forge and put a cannon by your nexus maybe? Maybe that'd work lol.
I was actually going to make a whole 1v1 Melee map with rocks as the boundaries but man it takes a long ass time between placing all the doodads and then going back and painting in the pathing all the while trying to make sure everything is identical x_x. Big pain in the ass lol.
I'm quite tired at the moment so I'll keep this short and sweet:
Things I like (and why): One layer (height) Doodads instead of walls (charming) A cave for each player (a place to call home) Volcanic Tile set (live for the swarm!) Destructible rocks (sneak attacks) Front wall off is split in two (defender gets bigger concave)
Things I don't like (and why): Split horizontally, the main chokes meet (lame for FFA) The 3hm bases (want 4 full gold bases) Texturing (not that pretty) Destructible rocks (should probably be the other model, EX) Small map is small (fast zerglings are fast)
