Seriously. It looks incredibly fun and Terran is actually Underpowered in 2v2 right now, maybe this'll help!

This is... surprising. Most surprising. I'm not sure how island 2v2 would play out - island 1v1 is a cheesefest, but in 2v2 I guess one player could go for the giant drop strategy while the other defends against cheese ? Maybe ? That's quite the theorycrafting I have going on here...

(Protoss sucks on island maps though, their dropships aren't very useful in mass drops, and void rays get raped by both Corruptors and Vikings)

Personally never been a fan of island maps as it favors Terran. Looks fun and creative though.

Is it possible to blink from the mains at the left and right onto the gold? If so, this could open up some interesting blink plays...

I love island maps for casual play, this looks really nice! I hope that the gold expansions do not turn out to be winner's expansions, because that is what they seem to be. In my opinion, it will be very odd for one team to control one of them and the other to control the other expansion.

I think that if Stalkers can Blink to and from the middle island, Blink timing pushes will be extremely powerful, especially since most of the players will be teching and not preparing for Stalkers.

You even have blizzard style map asymmetry.

I think you should put some nydus pods off to the side on one or more expo islands, possibly inside LosB.

I think first thing I would try is going PZ and having zerg 15 hatch and drone up while P goes gate robo to figure out what's going on and possibly island expo. If the other team is teching, make 20 warpgate while zerg feeds you and send a few prisms. GG.

you cant blink from mains to anywhere... or if you can ill fix it.

protoss alone is pretty bad, but phoenix's have shown to be quite the force to be reckoned with from the few games my friends have played. so maybe not PP is viable but definetly the PT / PZ is.

glad people are treating this so well, to be honest its only the third 2v2 island map ive been messing around with, but this layout seems to be the most balanced, and i think i got the size down pat. If its gold, then ill go back and detail it more, but right now its pretty good... 2 hours or so on texture/doods. thanks again. play it and let me know what you think!

I uploaded this map to EU.

As I played the map today I noticed a minor problem. As you know air units fly to the point where they are projected on the ground. So far so good, but the ground under the water is extremely uneven. So the point of projection variates strongly. The result is that it is hard to navigate air units over this ground.

Besides, the map is huge fun. =)

Adding an island map to team ladder we actually add a lot of variety imo, and this is as good of a island map as I've seen on SC2.

Actually I'm really interested to see how island maps function in SC2, as we haven't seen them at all, even in beta, unlike in BW where island maps were used in tournaments for a number of years before being phased out due to imbalance/silliness. And team game island maps sound even cooler!

How about adding natural creep to the side islands? so a terran can't just take 2 more expansions super fast without gas? Other then that I like it very much, I just love the idea of island maps in team games.
