I would like to practice late-game micro and army compositions outside of ladder and without macro-ing for 20 minutes.
Basically I'm wondering if there's a map/game I could play with unlimited resources where I could just automatically max out an army and test it against my partners maxed out army. I'm not looking for anything like marine arena. I am looking to train in standard game situations without having wasting a bunch of energy building armies. I've heard of similar maps on TL that are designed to test efficiency of build orders, so I figured there would already be one like this.
If there's no such map, could someone whip one up for me(preferably with tier 3 in the opening). I think this concept could help players at any practice and improve their game.
thanks!

look for:
[7] daiglerain's (i think that's right) micro trainer
just search micro trainer, go to the 7 player map, and it's something like that.
30 micro training challenges, 10 per race, cheese hold, contain break, general micro and deathball challenges for each race, infinite levels, stim/creep/speed on/off buttons, active APM display, level up/down buttons, and much much more.
i go there once a week at least to keep my fingers fresh. practicing marine micro, whatever race you play, will help your overall mechanics. there are like 5 terran stutter micro challenges.

how do I set the starting minerals/gas for all players in the map editor?
I found triggers>actions>melee - set starting resources for all players but it won't let me edit the default of 50 minerals, needless to say I have no idea what I'm doing...directions anyone?

look for Unit Test Map, Unit Tester, etc
there's tons of free macro maps with huge space to fight inbetween.

I seriously don't get how people have never heard of XGDragon's Unit Tester, blows my mind.

Doc's unit tester all the way!

We don't really advertise Unit Tester, since most people who want one can find it themselves. I can understand why most people don't use it, though. The unit tester trains micro, unit counters, and end-game. Bronze through Diamond players need work on macro. Master players need work on timing. The unit tester helps neither, and is therefore no substitute for actual game-play.
To OP, search for Unit Tester Online, keyword "online". It was specifically designed for practicing end-game compositions.

just search the custom game... "unit tester map" "unit tester map 1v1" or "hard counter"
