this. really want to know what you are after. why change two things at the same time (resources + symmetry)
cause it makes for interesting games. i did this map as a test, and so far its ok. having full saturation after like 20 seconds is cool, as is the importance of grabbing your natural. (for the gas.) most games turn into someone trying to hold the nat.
and micro > macro since youre only getting a few units to deal with. yeah it doesnt play like starcraft, but i dont think all these big maps do either. one of the longer games had the zerg getting to pop out an ultra so that was epic.
its not quite balanced yet so things are still being looked at from my perspective. but id wish people would actually take time to play the map instead of guessing and throwing opinions out that have no bearing to what actually matters. (throwing ladder games to get people to test is fun and all but...)

Forgive me if I'm coming off rude but, is this supposed to be some sort of attempt to 'troll' or 'get back' MotM after they apparently wronged you by not having your map as a finalist? I'm finding this map very difficult to take seriously.

Calm. I like the idea of this map, I just think that it uses too many theorycrafted ideas (big chokes, low resources, etc.) and should be tested more to see if it's good or not.
I tried out a game on this map vs a friend, I can't really see how any openings beside like an 8pool would be viable, 8pool is unaffected in timing by the change in minerals, a gas+pool opening is impossible, and I can't really see it being possible to defend a 2nd base off 4 mineral patches.

So it goes for all races (Except terran perhaps). Protoss: Funky forge cannon wall of a natural Terran: Marine with bunkers, pretty viable. Zerg: Ice Fisher.
I hope this map may inspire players, but the strange balance effects may make this too hard. (I really think terran will be overpowered on this map).
