Sick of huge macro maps? Sick of having to wait more than 5 seconds to crush your opponent? Well, try this out for size. Inspired by the original bloodbath, Vixen is actually smaller.

Honestly, I think it needs to be slightly expanded in every direction, and have the middle be slightly larger. Just so that a siege tank in the middle can't hit all 4 wall ins, you know?

This map isn't actually balanced if you look at it closely. It follows the same imbalance as Delta Quadrant. Rotational symmetry for the lose. You should just move the resources around.

Hmm... except that it doesn't. DQ is called 'imba' (I hate that word) because of expansion layout. Here there isn't one.

You can consider the expansion being the gold, and the gas. It's positioned it a way that it can be taken advantage of. This is mainly the issue due to the tiny map size. It could make a huge difference if one side can siege up only minerals, and the other can only do gas and the same goes for the gold mineral patches.

fix the rotation thing and check if tanks can hit from behind a wall to another wall if so make middle bigger so they just barely cant.

This could just be the map to make it into the blizzard ladder pool! Well done, sir!

The main size is clearly too large, if they were divided up this would make a great 8 player-shrinkage. Also, consider placing a xel-naga tower in each base, and one in the centre for extra shrinkage-ness.

haha just played like 20 games on this map. if its tvz you better keep an eye on the creep o.O + Show Spoiler + + Show Spoiler + + Show Spoiler + + Show Spoiler + so far every race seems to have an equal footing. i had trouble with toss at first, but if you can survive the first 5 or so minutes its fine. btw no match has lasted longer than 9 minutes

Perhaps considering coping blood bath by making the center unbuildable? That feature was probably the thing that made the map playable against terran in BW.

Awesome map, I used to play BloodBath all the time because when I was a BW noobie i used to 4 pool a toss AI because that was the only way I could beat it

Oh yes please, finally a smaller map. I'm tired of all those matches that take longer than 3 minutes. Also on a map like Steppes of War the chance of beeing cheesed is only around 60%, so this would be a nice change.
Btw. has any1 tried the strat as Terran to float to the HY minerals, make workers up to 11 and SCV- rush?

Better lift up your cc immediately, rush with your workers and hope the left over players cripple themselves good enough to never get air units.
