possibly that was a bug and nothing to do with the patch, possibly the editor changes bugged the map. work work work (insert illegal zog zog emote of your choice) | ||

You can still open map info and create a lobby with the normal map, but the search result only gives the map + mod. Why and how do I make it stop? | ||

Don"t know how to make it stop, it happened to all of my melee maps, i tried to wine about it on tl too :D but to no avail. i suppose just informing Blizzard through proper channels could help, on the other hand it is after all probably them that implemented this or at least they clearly turned a blind eye to it... # call it Pimp my mod (by hashtag i mean hashtag, that everyone knows about it and that it has been happening since the bnet melee mods' system appeared. | ||

after the initialization of the map.. a simple trigger might be what you are looking for Event: Map init Action: Create tumor "x01" in area "y01" Give vision of "x01" to player 1 true Give vision of "x01" to player 2 true wait 0.02 Give vision of "x01" to player 1 false Give vision of "x01" to player 2 false or Map init Set owner of "x01" to player 1 wait 0.002 Set owner of "x01" to player 2 wait 0.002 Set owner of "x01" to player 0 if you need any help doing it, just message me and show me your map editor and i'll talk you through it | ||

Well, if it's the only way, it's the only way. I don't recall what melee maps like Metropolis did. Maybe they didn't reveal the creep? | ||

Then again i'm maybe not representative of what people think? or should think? The idea of making a trigger is just to showcase how it would work, if blizz liked the idea they would do it differently maybe but they would put it on the ladder regardless! There is no problem with losing the "melee tag" .. it solutions the problem to do it this way because it easily is made available for anyone to playtest it online.. it will showcase (like blizz showcases the "possible start spawns of your opponent" at the start) your special areas (these creep tumors will be highlighted as "yours"/giving you vision .. just enough to signal itself, no real info from then on) this will give both the minimap and the map a "special texture" ... Telling players there is something special seems like the best idea to me if you want to signal it.. (again just putting it in "map info" seems fine to me) ..otherwise i'd say keep it "neutral" and do nothing .. lets see if you get to retain the "melee map tag" with that ![]() The idea of creating the tumors at the start makes it even funnier since at the start it would be a 1x1 creep area and "x" minutes later it would be a 3x3 / 9x9 / whatever.. creap spread <3 Was the creep tumor supposed to be invulnerable? ![]() Mapmaking = fun fun fun | ||

Maps by default only have Void (Mod) You would probably also notice that spells such as Interference Matrix are also not included in default dependencies, nor the current stats of the Cyclone, in fact, most, if not all changes occuring since the last few design patches. | ||
