P4ver is shy or lazy or something, so I'm posting this for him. P4ver was an awesome broodwar mapper at broodwarmaps.net (bwm). He won Map of the Month at the website several times, and had many 2nd and 3rd place finishings as well. Probably his most notable achievement was getting his maps (4)Shine and (4)Texcoco3.1 into the iCCup mappool for a few seasons. The following is his own post at bwm, these are all maps by Protoss4ever:

I mixed 4 tileset in this map, braxis alpha, char, zakul'das, shakuras. Xel Naga towers give a little vision of the main and nat's cliff(to do blink for example) Well... 3P MAP BY P4E OJGHDOFUGPQGFQDFOIGDFOMIGJDFG!!1eleven!

Most of the maps I see on the forums have glaring flaws, and imbalances. These maps seem well balanced, other than island maps (which I have never considered balanced)

I don´t like island maps but the other maps look great! Freedom Arena is my favorit ;D

i agree with this tho. a few maps feel too narrow. would take a long time to get around and you'll be forced to conga line to your oppenent all the way.
but having said that, they all look really pleasing to the eye. a lot of work has gone into this. i'm guessing a 1v1v1 is freakishly hard to make symetrical

Nice! But I gotta say, that "Patience Arena" will be ridiculous against a T, as they can just fly with their base to their nat and mine it out very quickly, then harass with marines.

I think I just jizzed, Beautiful, they look very nice love the first one for a custom game with friends XD - most of them look pretty small, but I'd like to see how some of them play first.

Wisdom Arena is by far my favorite just for the different use of Xel Naga towers.

Interesting set of maps. I like Freedom Arena (well I like 3player sc2 maps) though I'm not sure how that particular one would play out in practice. Fountain of Youth seems like it would be fun. I like them all.

I really like Chocolate Cake. The middle is so involved, it feels like a labyrinth. Since there's really no room to ball large armies on the thin paths, the map would reward players who play well tactically. Those who would split their armies and flank, pincer, and even give their opponent the slip would prevail.
Looking forward to it.

Gotta try Courage Arena @ 1v1 and 2v2 with my teammates as soon as possible, seems to be a delightful and pretty balanced map! Gratz for those maps!

Very nice looking maps I feel like Protoss will be at the advantage in island maps just because of how their race works with warp gates + warp prisms and blink stalkers and such, but I could easily be wrong, and it doesn't mean you island maps are bad, I really like them .

Excellent maps. My favorite is The Fountain of Youth, I really love the tilesets used. The only part of the maps Im not really a fan of is the center on kohral (the unnamed map). It seems like whoever gets the gold in the middle is at a huge advantage since there are 12 sets of minerals. Other than that though great job.

I'm not going to comment too much on the balance, since there's sooooo much to talk about regarding the artistic work here. I think your lighting and texturing are *AMAZING* on certain maps and mediocre on others.
Wisdom Arena and Zakul'das look great. Chocolate Cake is so weird... It really looks like you're fighting on a chocolate cake, but with bones and trees everywhere o_O Whatever, I like it. Also, the fog effect on Sight Arena is pretty cool. The screenshot doesn't portray it properly, but it really does look like a thick sandstorm in-game. I love the texturing on Fountain of Youth, I still need to learn how to swap the texture sets like that.
Patience Arena... Jesus, that looks incredible. I didn't see a single doodad on the entire map, but it's one of the best looking ones I've ever seen. The lighting effect and that tileset remind me of the old Blue Storm style tileset from BW. Love it love it love it.
Unfortunately, the Bel'shir maps (except for JohnJohn) all look whitewashed. It looks like you were going for a more forest-like effect, but I don't think it looks all that good in-game. I'm really hoping they release an evergreen forest sort of tileset with the actual game, I liked the look of BW maps like Lost Temple and python; it's really hard to get a look like that with the Bel'shir tileset.
