April 12, 2008 - Announcement to TSL Players
We are nearing the final sprint on the TSL qualification ladder. The following are some important details players in contention need to know. Please be attentive to the news page for more announcements in the future.
1. Map Pool for Qualifiers Blue Storm, Longinus II, Zodiac
2. Player questionnaire:
- First Name / Last Name - Address - Telephone # with country code - AIM/MSN - Working Email you will check daily - TL Account - TSL ICCup Account - Account they want displayed for qualifiers (with clan or team tag) - Full name of Team / Clan - Race intended to use in qualifiers If you are currently in the Top 48 or have been in the Top 48 within the 24 hours, please answer all the questions and PM Hot_Bid with the completed questionnaire. You may also email a completed questionnaire to TSLplayers@gmail.com.
Failure to submit the questionnaire or provide truthful information will result in disqualification. You will receive a confirmation of our receipt of your questionnaire within 24 hours.
3. Replays We will request replays at the end of the ladder. If you are in the top 30 it might be more convenient to send the replays you have now to us and then send a smaller pack when the ladder ends. Send all replay packs to Hot_Bid or Manifesto7.
Failure to provide a valid replay pack can result in disqualification. Remember to turn on autoreplay save when you play.
4. TSL Qualifiers: Round 1 Schedule (for Ladder #17-48) TSL Qualifiers: Round 1 will be held at the following times: 04/26/08 - 12:00 PM / 2:00 PM / 4:00 PM / 6:00 PM 04/27/08 - 12:00 PM / 2:00 PM / 4:00 PM / 6:00 PM
Times are EDT (New York).
Players will be given their match assignments and times on 04/22/08. If you are planning on qualifying, please make sure you are available during these hours.
If you are in contact with a top player who may not get these messages, please link him to these announcements. Thank you.

April 3, 2008 - Announcement - Replay Auto-Save Required
If you are playing in the TSL, you must have the auto-save replay option of the ICCUP launcher turned on. We reserve the right to request replays from any player at the end of the tournament for abuse / hack verification reasons.
Thank you.
How do I turn replay autosave on? 1. Run ICCup Launcher (currently v.1.2 build 41) 2. Under the "Features" tab, make sure Chaos Plugin is checked. 3. Click the "Settings" button for Chaos Plugin. 4. Make sure "Autoreplay" is checked under the "General" tab.
Where are my replays? Replays should be saved in the this folder:
\Starcraft\maps\replays\Autoreplay\
April 1, 2008 - Announcement - Chinese IPs Banned
Sorry China.
After extensive dicussion amongst the TSL staff, well-known gamers, and members of the Chinese gaming community, we have decided to prohibit all gamers residing in China from qualifying for the playoffs of the TSL.
The reason for this is simple; game quality. There are many connection problems between Chinese IPs and European or American gamers. These problems will only be magnified when two casters and an observer are present. Rather than have issues during broadcast times, we will avoid the situation altogether.
For the TSL staff, the quality of the league is paramount to the considerations of individual gamers. I apologize to those Chinese gamers who have already invested time in the league, but we felt it was better to make this clear now rather than later. Gamers are still welcome to participate in the ladder, but will not be eligible for qualification.
If you have any questions of comments, please PM Manifesto7.
Thank you, TSL Staff
March 31, 2008 - Announcement - ICCup Tournaments
This is regarding playing tournaments on ICCUP from your TSL account and gaining points for placement finishes.
This is prohibited. Do not play tournaments with your TSL account. The points gained will be deducted and you may even be penalized if you continue to play in them. Of course, this does not apply to official TSL tournaments.
Thank you.

should be common sense...

I can't imagine going through a season's worth of somebody's replays.
|
Yeah
and they reserve the right to request the top 16 all the replays for a rep pack of all games

Rather than start a new thread, I'll ask this here:
I was playing a game with a fellow, and the drop screen came up as I was going through the motions of victory, it counted down to zero, and then said I lost my connection to battle.net. Of course, I could sign right back on though. It was on the TSL ladder, but since I'm not going to be in top 48 I don't really care (it gave him the win). I also found out he is a TL.netter, so I know there is no foul play, but I was wondering what kind of things cause this?
In my version of the replay, it says he left the game at the end, but according to iCCup, I disc'ed.

Just submit a complaint with your replay and get the win.

i got drophacked by some TSL player, and made a complaint on the forum. people will go to great lengths, whether they're TL or not.

Alright, I filed a complaint but was sure to express I wasn't sure he was hacking, but that there was some kind of connection issue and I was winning at that point. I do have a screenshot of the drop screen too, in case they think I'm making it up, but the complaint part only lets you attach reps.

Could be something like a 24h disc. It's kinda common. If u lose your connection for just few seconds you will disc, but ofc u can rejoin to bnet instantly. I have that kind of disc really often.

I don't know what that means, but I guess you explained it. I just wonder why the Disc screen came up, and then I happened to lose my connection right when it counted to zero. However, I trust the iCCup admins to know more than I do. They'll do whatever is just, and I'll go around outside to see if squirrels have been chewing on my tubes.

never assume that a tl.netter wont commit foul play.

How do we download replays from the ICCup page?

How many people will this message reach ? Not everyone playing in this ladder visits Teamliquid.net and this forum.
I started to play with auto save from now on

Quick question, how do I turn it on? I look through all the options, it seems everything is checked and updated, and yet it doesn't save my replays.
