dont make the tourney last 2 monthes. honestly it took so long (especially getting through the round of 32) to progress that, by the end of it, the nostalgia of the tourney itself was gone. I, for one, strongly disagree. TSL 3 has given us the comfort of being able to watch live in the weekend, when most people are at home and not working or studying their asses off. Making it last less and still have the same amount of games would mean streaming weekdays, and sure, some would be able to watch live, while for others it would be dead night (think like 3-4 am) and others would still be at work/school. If for some having the tournament more often would make it less special, for me not being to watch it live would make it less special. Just my 2 cents.

Thank God for Thorzain, he kept the hype up by being the underdog. if it went like everyone predicted with an all/mostly korean final 4 dominated by MC. i dont think viewer count or the level anticipation, would have been half as high. lol your wrong. The format of the tournament lasting this long is what BW starleagues did and makes it a lot more exciting then if it lasted a week or 2. It provides hours of endless entertainment and lasts 2 months is awesome. I hope the TSL goes like MSL/OSL of bw, 2-3 times a year (can't remember which) because they take like 3 months to do a tournament would be awesome . I do hope TSL4 qualifiers start in like a month or something with less invites, would be awesome :D

Team Liquid understand their fans and as such, their VODs are free. (NASL and especially GSL take a hint) you can watch whenever, and however you want. perfect example of a perfectly timed Tourney of the same(or at close) hype and player pool was the IPL. the action was consistant. the player pool was 32, the production value and everything top notch. and the length, perfect. like 2 weeks long. im sorry but waiting TWO WEEKS for one set (the finals) was just too long.

Start qualifiers in june through august. Tournament begins late august through early october 3 invites (naniwa, thorzain, kas) 6 European Qualifiers (5 point leaders) 6 American Qualifiers (5 point leaders) 4 Korean Qualifiers (3 point leaders) No cross qualification (players may not attempt qualification on 2 different servers). That's just my opinion.

Voted once a year. If it's too often it won't be as epic. (See: GSL 345747369837654 times a year)

There's so many other tournaments out there that no one with only 24 hours in their day can follow and TSL (at least to me) is the most exceptional and prestigious Starcraft (2) competition there is. Simply because it's been around since BroodWar and I have so many fond memories of the first two. Not to mention the great production values, player line-up and matches. Turning it into a regular tournament schedule-wise would take away from the bits of history that come with every TSL, simply because there'd be so many matches going on one after another, comparatively. I also like the kind of "exclusiveness" that comes with being a TSL winner, or even having made it to the Ro16. Not many people can brag about it and holding a TSL every other month would also make this obsolete rather quickly. Summary: I would really like two every year, but I'm also okay with one. Not really liking the idea of more than that, but of course I'd still watch every single one, no matter the intervals inbetween.

Additionally, keep the form of having the games casted on Saturdays and Sundays, allows for greater # of viewers in my opinion, lets the tournament last far longer, and allows for greater hype throughout the course of the week leading up to the matches.
