TSL > GSL

If you can consistantly provide a prize pool and improve quality then I would love to see TSL as often as GSL.

Would that be viable for Teamliquid to do?
Yeah

I think 2 - 4 times a year would be fucking awesome!!! But well, the hype is undoubtly huge if you leave it at once a year ^^

Actually I fully agree with everyone. Twice a year is a good option. Makes the Hype bigger. Although I wouldn't mind for another one right now ^_^

Once a year is absolutely perfect. Hypes it up a LOT more if we have to wait for it And potentially makes the players fight harder to win it too.
Gravity is just a theory anyway.

wait a bit but make more TL Opens. Or start the qualifier now if you plan on making many TL Open qualifiers on all the servers !
But i voted wait a bit anyways, it needs to be a prestegious and awaited evenement, it needs anouncements of incotrol making anouncements.

As much as I love TSL, I'd rather have it be once a year... I feel the tournament loses alot of esteem if its more often.

Once a year is very little. I see no reason why the hype would be that much bigger that you would actually prefer it. Why not do it every 4 years like the Olympics and the World Cups so it's uber hyped.

I think that if it's something you want to continue doing on a regular schedule. You can definitely do more than once a year but not by much. The months of TLOpens to qualify and the stretched out Bracket play in itself probably span 1/4th of a year? Even more, just checked it. The first TLOpen Qualifier was on January 8th 2011. That's what 5 and a half months ago?

Two times a year, not more I'd say. And considering the stat above, it could be good to look into condensing some parts. Otherwise you would be chaining them and I do feel that takes away from the hype and prestige. Maybe seasonal? Summer and Winter, that's pretty old school

Think about the difference between tournaments like the OSL and MSL compared to the GSL. We already have two people win the GSL twice yet winning the OSL or MSL three times makes you one of the best players ever. I LOVED the TSL, I think part of it's magic is that it's a rare thing. I think once a year would make it the most special tournament on the planet, literally. I could see twice a year like the BW tournies working as well. I just think that since it was so good people want more now, but giving in to instant gratification would hurt the TSL in the long run.

Once a year, so that the anticipation builds up!!
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

I would love TSL to be at least twice a year, maybe even 3 or 4 times. The amount of adrenaline and nerd chills (which I finally felt for the first time and understand what everybody has been talking about) last Sunday during the finals was ridiculously awesome and I would love to see another TSL very soon.

I voted once/year. The more frequently you have a tournament, the more the hype and prestige of the tournament goes down. Also, things like "defending champ" wouldn't carry as much weight. It allows changes in the metagame as well, so the audience would probably experience completely different games. My point: please keep these spread out!

I voted once a year but I wouldn't mind twice a year as it's still long enough to make it a truly special event that you can get hyped for.

Two TSLs per year would be optimal, I think - but it would be nice to have TL Opens going on anyway, even if they are not qualifiers.

Definitely more than once a year, should be a 2-3 times a year thing. Once a year is way too long.
