I think once a year is best. The tournament is pretty lengthy especially when you factor in qualifiers. If it was more than once a year it would seem like it never stopped and kind of kill some of the hype. I like it when it's just a big time tournament that happens occasionally and builds up to some pretty huge matches.

TSL is so prestigious because it is held once a year, on the other hand I don't see a downfall to TSLs being more frequent.

If the money is there do it. You guys saying once a year, you cant tell me you wouldn't want to watch another TSL if it was on next month. You don't have a problem with the GSL or MLG having multiple tourneys a year, so why do you want TL to limit themselves? Get off your high horses and be grateful the money and resources are available.

I know the GSL was a great tournament and all, but if you want it to be something prestigious to win, make it like the OSL or MSL. Otherwise, it will just be like the GSL, purely for entertainment. Once a year or 8 months at least would be the optimal time to host them.

EDIT: To clarify I am not that big a fan of the TSL mainly due to the casters, but I am giving my honest opinion for any large tournament, one like the TSL.

Personally I think the TSL should be done only when TL is confident in doing the next one bigger and better than the last. Whether that be a few months or a year it doesn't matter to me as long as it lives up to it's predecessors.

I think the issue is not so much about the timing, but more about the funding.

It would be awesome if the TSL could be held as awesome as real offline Starleagues, but $30k doesn't just come flying out of nowhere...

You don't need hype up the TSL.

Just drop the teaser trailer whenever you feel like it.

The TSL is a legendary tournment, so not knowing when, or even where is part of the fun.
