I feel once a year or so is good. This is like the world cup to me. It cant be played to often or it will lose a bit of its charm. Have to say I love it though.

Once or twice a year - the longer the wait, the greater the hype. If it was every 2 months it'd probably get stale fairly quickly

Once a year is way too long. Imagine the hype building up for it and if it doesn't meet up to the expectation it would make a lot of people disappointed.

I say keep the TSL to once a year.

Doesn't mean you can't do TSL Jr. Start your own monthly torurnament, but make it less prestiege-y then the TSL.

I'm not sure about prestige or whatever but keeping it in line with the BW leagues would be best imo as that way they are frequent enough to provide a stream of content and presumably get sponsorship dollars etc. while also making it more of an event and keeping it exciting. I kinda stopped caring about SC2 for a little while and when I came back there had been like 3 more GSLs and it just wasn't exciting anymore.
SC ESPORTS are flooded with weekly tournaments, GSL, leagues etc. Having another TSL right now (and continuing in that vein) means it is in danger of being swept up into a big cloud of ESPORTS noise and losing that special je ne sais quoi that makes the TSL so special.

I think you should have smaller events with smaller prize pools which will add to spots in tsl. This will add for the hype and more matches and games for the spectators.

They will wait 2 months anyway to make it a twice a Year event.
2 months of qualify and 2 months tourney would mean 2 months break if its a twice a year event wich would be perfect to me.
But i question the comunity has so much influence since its a sponsored event...

People are too stubborn to host a TSL every time one is over, that is way too much. The TSL is supposedly a prestigious tournament, and hosting it once every one or two months takes that away from its reputation.

Twice a year at most. People voting don't need anymore are the group of people that think the tournament is horribly managed, and though that is true to an extent, it gets better everytime its hosted.

Once every 1 to 1.5 years to make it more "prestigious" as people would say, but the most immportant is that the prize pool is big for the champion. The prize pool for tsl3 i thought was perfect. Besides, the more money, the better the games are because if you win, you get more
