A ready and deadly-looking [Soul]TheWind gets another crack at the Duel Tournament (was knocked out of the Duel Tournament last time by ElkY in a match TheWind maybe should have had...), as well as a shot at the #1 Challenge League title. Sir@Soni~ still doesn't look very threatening and he'll be the luckiest guy in Korea to make it through to Starleague, imo.
Heaven had his moments, but, as with many newcomers, just didn't have enough to finish things off. IntoTheRain looked sorely out of practice, especially as the games wore on (he admitted as much before the show started), and couldn't win if the match was handed to him on a silver platter. Made so many sloppy mistakes, missed so many wide-open opportunities to take the game, it got kinda depressing watching - sad to see him go like this. Used to be so dominant. IntoTheRain is now the only player (I think...) to have competed in all three Challenge Leagues held thus far never to have made it through to the Duel Tournament at least once. Also recently got knocked out of the GhemTV Tournament prelims by none other than his own protege, IntoTheRainbow. Not a happy week for him...
So, the final qualifiers for the next Duel Tournament are as follows:
Group A: #1 Zeus (P) #2 ChRh (T)
Group B: #1 IntoTheRainbow (P) #2 [Soul]Ace (Z) (aka Gyuntae)
Group C: #1 [Aos]Kingdom (P) #2 TheMarine (T)
Group D: #1 Jinsu (Z) #2 forU (P) (aka [Dak]ddong)
Group E: #1 Nal_rA (P) #2 SoA.Eji (P)
Group F: #1 [Soul]TheWind (Z) #2 Sir@Soni~ (Z)
But before the Duel starts, we have a mini-tournament to decide the Challenge League champion. The #1 seeds from each Group above will play each other to decide the winner of the Challenge League. The players from Groups A - C play each other first until only one is left. The players from Groups D - F play after that same format. The final two go head-to-head in a best of five. The winner gets an automatic seed in the next Starleague without having to participate in the Duel Tournament. The loser goes through to the Duel Tournament with everybody else.
