I'm not sure why Group B is the group of death. It has two of the best players in Innovation and Flash, but because of that them advancing is pretty much a forgone conclusion, outside of the small chance of a Bomber upset or something. Group A has three really good players instead of two, even if none of them have quite the hype behind them that Innovation and Flash do. On top of that the outcome of group A is much more debatable.

And on another topic, is it just me or is Group D the weakest GSL/OSL/WCSkr ro16 group in recent memory?

The news' title on the front page is only "Ro16 Groups".
It would be nice to add "[OSL]" in there too

The TvTs...expecting high HPM from them. For once, I want Bomber to bomb so Flash can win.

They do not take map score into account for breaking ties, so I get the feeling that they hope they will get ties.

In case of a 3 way tie they will play as many Bo1 round robin tie-breakers as it takes to break the tie. IIRC they usually have a day set aside for tie-breakers.

Come on, they could have picked mixed races groups...

On the other hand, imagine Flash & Innovation preparing only TvT, we're gonna have incredibly good games !

Wow that beach map... I really like it from an aesthetic standpoint. Looks like a race track from Outrun or something.

Meh, most people are referring to the tournament as OSL or Starleague. Qualifying for the WCS season finals is an afterthought compared to becoming an OSL champion. I have to think most people that actually watch WCS Korea feel the same way (that GSL / OSL is more important than WCS).

The result of a random draw.

TBH I disagree. I still feel that both the GSL and now the OSL have been a better tournament than WCS Europe and Americas, especially when it comes to the quality of games and (in the case of GSL) the quality of the finals.

what... Group A and B are godlike. Most stacked groups ever.
Group C and D are bleh. Cool players, but not even one tournament contender compared to pretty much all tournament contenders.

How did this happen?

Edit: Random draw..... wth are the OSL people retarded? I understood when they wanted to keep their old format even though it doesn't work in SC2 because it's SC2 and not SC:BW, but random groups....... T_T
Way to ruin the tournament -_-

He's saying that Foreign tournaments don't do retarded shit like having bo1 groups and random groups. Although they have done many retarded things in the past, they seem to be much better than OSL in these regards. He wasn't talking about the quality of the games =P

They had group selections in BW. This, ironically, is them keeping in line with the other WCS events

(I'm actually not sure why they did a random draw, but it isn't to be more in line with hose they did things in BW)

Don't they do random groups for WCS Europe an WCS America?

Yes I know, the other WCS tournaments don't have the players in the same country/area and thus can't have them select groups live, so they instead do random draw. Even if it's kind of a bad idea, it kind of makes sense too.
Doesn't make any sense for OSL to do it though. That's just lazy and bad tournament organizing.

Gotta agree with you there.

And Parting lucked out, just practice PvZ and he should come out at least in second, while the zergs have to focus on ZvZ for the best chances.
