TvP is his worst match up, although that's mostly due to how good his TvT and TvZ is. In any case every terran in the world is an underdog going up against Parting right now (assuming he's recovered after MLG)

Curses! Fionn thinks that Taeja will advance! He's really screwed now

I honestly can't call this group. All of the players are so close, and I feel a lot of it depends on their form tonight and how much/little preparation they managed to do. I highly doubt we'll see TheStC/Taeja advance, but any other combination really could happen.

Itd be love to see Taeja with Hero in the Quarterfinals..but dunno.,,Taeja beating MKP? MKP would have to be in a really really bad shape that day.
|
This group is so sick. I can wait to see Parting storming everyone! Also, I think that MKP should advance, but Taeja is sooooo good. Chills. This will be insane :D Good preview!

STC and MKP will advance. Don't see parting advancing.
|
So excited for the group. Feel like everyone's kind of jinxed parting but he really is MC's successor if there ever is going to be one.
Could easily be a TT final with Taeja's TvP being quite formidable.
|
I believe in Taeja and MKP
|
Really excited for these matches! I predict Parting and STC making it through.

We should probably get a new image at the bottom now that both DRG and Genius are out of Code S. D:

Courageous, picking against MKP.

MKP and Parting EZ picks for this group.
Why? Because they are both more popular than Taeja and TheSTC because they have been getting more exposure due to MLG and the GSTL finals? Both Taeja and TheSTC are quite good against Terran and Protoss, and they haven't been travelling around so much so they have had more time to practice for this group. I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of MKP and Parting gets "upset" in this group.

Wow, bold move Fionn. You have balls of steel for betting against MKP atm. Parting's style has been figured out. It's a solid style, but at least Taeja and MKP have great splits, and theSTC can definitely do splits - he just needs to get of the "i only split against banes" mentality. The definite advantage Parting has is that he only has to practice one match-up.
Table of practice partners TvT PvT TvP Prime MKP(68.33%TvT), Byun(62.50%TvT), Maru (55.56%TvT) Creator (59.09%PvT) ST Parting (50.00%PvT) Bomber (51.85%TvP), Virus (54.55%TvP) oGs-TL Taeja(41.67%TvT), theSTC(66.22%TvT), Inca (55.26%PvT), Supernova(72.09%TvT), TOP(75.00%TvT), VINES (50%PvT), Lure (0%PvT) forGG(46.15%TvT)
Win rate against player MKP (-%) - Taeja (-%) MKP (77.78%) - Parting (22.22%) MKP (75.00%) - theSTC (25.00%) Taeja (-%) -Parting (-%) Taeja (-%) - theSTC (-%) theSTC (0%) - Parting (100%)
Stats say: Parting - theSTC MKP - Taeja MKP - Parting Taeja - theSTC theSTC - Parting
MKP and Parting advance.

Yeah, I still want to see Squirtle and a Mothership vortexing him. (I requested this when they were asking for ideas for a new image and it was right after Squirtles epic code A match against Seal)

This is the kind of group that will make for excellent story-lines for the GSL. It is time that the GSL truly start hyping the players behind making the games.
I am calling a heart-breaking elimination for PartinG after a shock loss to the StC in the first set and MKP in the loser's match; with a base race situation. STC vs Taeja becomes a coin-flip, and I have no idea who wins in the final match.
