Both of those options are better than trying to figure out who are 2 mafia in 7 players, because the logical deduction becomes easier, especially if/when we manage to lynch mafia.

I think it is pretty obtuse to not try to use the mechanics to your advantage, it's like saying in a normal game that you didnt use your cop role because you think it's unfair... The why join a game like that at all?
