I was planning on casing Bourneq too but ran out of energy. Rso said something about not needing defending then I realized maybe I shouldn't say anything about Bourneq. Later Trfel said its weird no ones pushing Bourn, so I didn't. | ||

Plotspot - I moderated that game, so I can definitely say this - and most other mods will agree but here's the thing with that situation: The vast majority of moderators will never have a problem if you use a forceful tone/a few swear words when focusing on an argument. It is when you start using personal attacks and start attacking the person (like saying I hope you get AIDS or not wanting to play with the person again in a certain game) then it becomes grounds for a warning or a modkill depending on the extent. In that situation, this individual - Robik - went through nearly a page of personal insults, and one particular post was borderline criminal. It had zero place ever in a TL game. I had no choice but to remove him from the game especially as he was subsequently forum banned. See, ripping a case apart is okay. Calling someone's argument absurd/idiotic/bullshit/rubbish/whatever is okay. But once you wade into the ad hominem territory depending on the moderator, you risk either a warning to a modkill and if you get modkilled, you will have been issued a standard behaviour ban in post-game. There's nothing wrong with showing passion for or against a position, but you need to do it in a way that is appropriate. | ||

I didn't think you said anything mean or degrading. personally, you at least talked about how my case was bad with reasons. In the past scum just called me stupid to and tried discrediting me on dumb newbness. You Breshke, and Prphlz used reasons. I had to town Breshke and Prplhz earlier. Town tube would have backed down and pushed no lynch. Hard no lynch. It made it easier to keep distracting but also I was planning on doing more today on you. I didn't want my cases too good because before when I did my tin foils I had more and more rational and easier to read posts. I knew I couldn't organically come up with anything. I had some posts in mind of yours that I thought I could argue you were just nitpicking. Like shining couldn't read 16 pages in 30 minute. You didn't seem to consider he read X amount before replacing or that they were mostly one liners. My goal was to get town to consider you. I got word I'm working all weekend 12-16 hour days so knew I was going to die even if I didn't case you and breshke. | ||

Inactivity kills towns more than anything else. D1 everyone who was possibly getting lynched (plot, dwarf, and myself) were not active. That meant that scum just had to be moderately active and they escape a lot of scrutiny. This happened all 3 days essentially with different people. Additionally, although scum hunting is obviously important establishing yourself as solid town is just as important in some cases. Although my reads were ass, my d2 posting took me out of the lynch discussion and allowed the town to focus on checking other people. Prpl did a great job of this d1 but I was so caught up on his inactivity d2, I never realized it. Had that clicked and didn't distract half the town from investigating others, we would have had significantly more information and basically confirmed towns moving forward making it much easier to narrow down the pool. Regarding PRs, although I don't understand Shining's reason for shooting me, it was probably a good time to shoot considering he probably would be mislynched d3 if not. However, when you are a vigilante unless there is some obvious reason you generally want to take out a lurker you aren't sure will start contributing more. If I were the vig for example, I probably would have shot one of Breshke/Bourneq/Tube since if I lived and prpl never returned he would easily be lynchable or I can get a better read if he does return, while they were mia a lot of d2 and seemed harder to read. Going into d3 after the vig, that left town at 5-3 MYLO. This is where town misused the PRs imo. Scum has no reason to claim Vig unless one of them is getting lynched and they need save themselves. So by fake claiming, you're forcing the real vig to cc or town might not believe him when he does later. In a lylo/mylo situation you want as many confirmed players as you can get so a no-lynch without claiming would be preferable as it buys you time and doesn't dictate who scum needs to shoot. Once the game gets late, it would be even more suspicious for Rso to be alive. Obviously it wouldn't have mattered for this game, but it might in others. | ||

I just started saying that after i rescinded because shining shooting stutters didnt make much sense to me and i thought he was mafia. I also needed a way to explain my play without saying claiming vet as i thought that was still an option at the time. | ||
