Roles and Setup information

This is a semi-closed setup. There are many possible roles, and what roles are in the game are drawn from this pool. There can be more than one of any of the roles. Not every role is guaranteed to be in the game.

The Sons of Defenders of the Stern Spires Continent of Girders of Korhal

Win Condition: The town wins when there are no mafia left in the game or nothing can prevent that from happening.

Dwarf Marine (Vanilla Townie): You're a staunch defender of your dwarf fortress, willing to trek across the distance between solar systems to fight xenomorphs to defend your home. You are a VT.

Wandering Civilian (Wandering Townie): You're really just lost. You get lost underground in the endless mines, and you get lost in space travelling from one system to the other. All you really do is confuse people. You are a self-aware wanderer. Each night you visit someone at random, and are not informed who you visited.

Refugee from Xenomorph Goblin Attack (Miller): The last Xenogoblin attack was rough on your home, so you migrated to the Stern Spires Contient of Girders of Korhal to start a new life. Some say you still smell of the enemy, but how can a dwarf smell anything at all when dwarves smell so bad? Self-aware miller. Return Red to checks.

Adjutant (Mason): You're a valuable team member, and you communicate with the other Adjutant regularly as part of your duties. It's not easy to keep a fortress running! You are a mason, with a confirmed town partner and a QT you can speak in.

Legendary Craftsdwarf (Gunsmith): Something of a strange mood has come over you... you grabbed glass, iron, sand, leather, and all other kinds of things and locked yourself in your workshop. Who knows what kind of sicknasty weapon you'll make? [i]Once per game, at night, you can gunsmith a gun for someone. They will recieve a gun with a single bullet and can fire it during the next night. If you are roleblocked, you can retry. If your target dies, tough luck. If the guy who gets the gun is roleblocked hwen he tries to shoot,

Protoss Orbital Lava Flood Battery (1-Shot Vigilante): This world is lost to the Xenogoblins. Glass it. Once per game, at night, you can fire a bullet to deal 1 kp to a target. You can't shoot during night 1. If you are roleblocked, you get your bullet back.

Bridge-A-Pult Stasis Field (Jailkeeper): The basic concept of a Bridge-A-Pult Statis field is simple enough. You build a drawbridge that swings up so quickly it launches people or invaders on it into a stasis dimension at relativistic speed. Also useful for getting rid of unwanted immigrants! Each night, you can jail a person, which roleblocks them and protects from one KP. Happens after Mafia RB.

Mothership (Banisher): VWOOOOOOOOOOOOSH Each night, you can Banish a person, which roleblocks them and prevents anyone from visiting, targeting, or killing them until morning. In the day post, it will announce that they were banished overnight. Happens after Mafia RB.

Tychus Findlay, Marksdwarf (Veteran): Tychus got a second chance at life. Rare for a dwarf, but perhaps he can live up to the gifts he was given. You have an extra night life. If you are RBed, that night life is suppressed during the RB.

Vampire Ghost Hunter (Tracker): Note, this is a Vampire who hunts Ghosts. As a Vampire, you have abilities that few other dwarves have, and you are putting them to use in the name of Dwarfmanity, by hunting down rogue Ghost operatives. Each night, you may select a target. You follow that target and see who they visit that night.

Infested Imminent Tantrum Cascade (Paranoid Gun Owner): Oh no. This is where things go bad. You see, moods of dwarves depend on other dwarves, which can cause unstable positive feedback loops. A tantrum from one dwarf can often trigger tantrums in others -- this is known as a tantrum chain, or, especially if it grows out of control and threatens the fortress as a whole, a tantrum spiral. It's even worse if these dwarves are secretly infested Terrans. Anyone who touches this gets in serious trouble. Anyone who visits you during the night is hit with 1 kp. This effect resolves after roleblocks.

Marshal / Sheriff / Hammerer (Cop): You're the law in this town. People rely on you to figure things out and hammer home the nails of justice. Or really just hammer people in general. Hammering is good. Each night, you may target a player and learn their alignment.

Xenomorphs/Goblins/Forgotten Beassts

Mafia Win Condition: The mafia wins when there are no remaining townies or nothing can prevent that from happening. Each night, mafia has 2 kp. Each KP must be delivered, and each deliverer can only deliver 1 kp. So when there's only one mafia left alive, there will only be 1 kp delivered each night.

Zergoblin (Mafia Goon): You're a... zerg goblin. Don't worry about it. Really. It all makes sense if you read the other fanfic I wrote. You are a goon with no powers. You may deliver KP.

Koboldefiler Kidnapper (Mafia Roleblocker): You. You're a Kobold. You're also, I guess, a Defiler. You kidnap dudes and cast... Plague on them? Yeah. Kobold Plague. And it makes them unable to act. That makes sense! You are a roleblocker. Each night, you may target a player and roleblock them. You can also deliver KP while doing this. Your RB resolves before any town abilities do.

Clever Elf / Infested Terran (Mafia Godfather): You're a clever elf merchant who is secretly an infested terran. You will sneak into the dwarf base and lecture them on cutting down trees, and they'll never know what hit them. You are a gf with no powers. You return green to checks. You may deliver KP without visiting the target. If you are RBed, you return red to checks that night.

Manipulations of Kerrigan, Forgotten Beast (Mafia Framer): Kerrigan is a Forgotten Beast with 2 bat-like wings, 4 clawed hands, glowing eyes, and a sharp dagger-like tail. You are a framer. each night, you may target a player and choose what color they return to checks. You may deliver KP while doing this. Your ability resolves after town's RB abilities, but before Cop checks.

Exploratory Zerggoblin Siege (Mafia Rolecop): By sending a small number of Zerggoblins, you can figure out what defenses the heroes have. You are a Rolecop. Each night, you may target a player and see what their role is. You may deliver KP while doing this.

Jim "Urist" Raynor looked down at what he'd built. It was safe, and had even managed to fend off the attack of the weresheep earlier in the year. And yet, with the emergence of the xenomorphs and the terrifying Protoss, Jim knew that the peace would not last. Perhaps not this month, or the next, but some month, a Carp would come kill a dwarf and turn out to be a xenocarp, or something worse. No, Jim was on guard. He knew what was coming.

Welcome to Day 1. This Day ends in just over 48 hours at Tuesday, Sep 16 10:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00). Make sure to vote in the voting thread (link). At the end of the day, the player with the majority of votes on him gets lynched. If there is no majority, the day ends in a no-lynch. It is required you make at least 2 posts per day+night cycle, and ALSO meet the arbitrary activity requirement that exists entirely in my mind. Voting is mandatory.
