I would respond by addressing what the concern is. In this case no reads.

If you still have no reads. What is sticking out to you as a bullshit contribution or intentionally flawed logic. Bring those items up for discussion.

I don't know holyflare alignment. But I know u r town so don't fear.

If nothing is sticking out to u as scummy. Read the game and just talk to me about things u think are weird.

Now.. if votes are on you. Different story. Read the vote rationale and think whether this is townie aggressive pressure or scum easy vote. Usally the key is one is that town is still trying to figure out alignment so will continue to probe.

1. Why do think you are being killed? There is no vote on you? Half the thread hasn't posted so you don't know what thread sentiment is. Lurkers are unpredictable at the best of times.

2. Is hyper aggression a scum trait? In my opinion it's non alignment indicative especially if said player is aware he is aggressive as town. My suggestion is to analyse the approach/motive. Is umasi running a smear campaign. Or is he trying to find out more about you. #1 is typical of scum. #2 is typical of town. At least in day1.

3. If u indeed consider umasi scum. U need to consider how to approach further. Do u pressure him or vote or ignore?

Well it's up to you how to proceed.

All I can say is. Your evidence is not damming. I.e. what has been presented to me can equally come from a town or scum player in general.

As you have a gut feeling only my advice is to answer his queiries if still outstanding and then pressure him. If your issue is that he immediately targetted you because you were easy. Then lead with that and see what the response is.

In short. It is possible he is scum. It currently you have no proof. Just a feeling. And you are only one vote. Pressure your read and reassess your thoughts once you receive a response

As for part2 I disagree. You look town to my more experienced eyes. And a couple in the game are probably town as well. So it can be done.

Ok. I suggest ask umasi why he said that. If something puts you at ease. Then query it. If he is scum by pressuring him you are giving him opportunities to skate easily if u don't talk to him.

As for killerdog. What has he done that makes him scum instead of town. Walk me throughw the feeling

Basically, someone calls you scum; so you assume they *must* be scum to even consider you being scum.

All your reasons for calling someone scum are "gut feelings" based on someone calling you out first. Thats poor play; but its OK, thats why I am here to coach.

(2) Its poor play to rely on a blue claim to prevent a mislynch

Instead, we need to get you off the noose.
To do this, there are two things you *MUST* do

(1) Reply to peoples cases against you, and explain why they are not scum-mindset indicative only (I can help with this)
(2) Present an alternative scum target (Again, I can help you with this)

What I need you to do is summarise what ppl issues are with you; and what you think is a suitable response.
And also point out to me things you find suspicious/scummy in the thread. We can work through it to determine if anything if specifically scummy, or just poor play.

The next step now is to read those two filters; and see if you can find further evidence to suggest they are scum.

(1) Are they pushing bad logic?
(2) Are they trying to figure out scum; or just point blame at people
(3) Are they creating a negative atmosphere, and discouraging people from talking?
(4) Are they making posts that look like contributions, but on closer read, say nothing?

Just remember that as a new player:
It is very hard to differentiate between paranoid townie (you) and paranoid scum.

The key difference is that paranoid scum tend not to post; where as you are still putting yourself out there.
However, I believe you already pointed this out in one of your posts.

Look, you already responded to people concerns, now just keep pushing and pressuring your scum reads. That's the best any townie can do.
