Whose Line (VT replacement) Newbie XXVIII (VT) Newbie XXVI (Vig) Newbie XXIV (VT) @Vivax: I was mostly going to ignore your post since you're mostly rehashing the same points, but there were some things in there that I actually liked (response in spoiler)+ Show Spoiler + I. D1 my vote was a straight up sheep. Your pool of lynch candidates is nearly identical (pressure vote on WBG early d1, otherwise Morb, Wiggles, Debears, me[you in my case]). Other than your vote on wiggles, your lynch candidates have all been town by the same logic. II. A completely null tell. Anyone who is not confirmed is going to say they're town in any setup speculation. It might be "an easy way to plant doubts without giving any information whatsoever" however it is also an easy way to confirm multiple townies in a c9++ setup (when we thought it was one). III. Once again, completely misrepresenting the out of context bit. I said I missed the questions, whether you believe that or not is up to you. I was saying you were quoting me out of context to remove the possibility of any explanation but the one you wanted. IV. I haven't avoided it. I've even admitted I've done it. There is just nothing I can do about it at this point. How the other players interpret it is completely up to them and I'd rather try to convince them by turning my play around now as opposed to just giving up since I'll never be able to prove my time commitments one way or the other. V. This post was at the request of Prom who wanted to know what I thought of Wiggle's interactions with my top 3 candidates. I'm not a huge fan of association cases, except as a starting point to investigate someone's play more. I didn't say you were scum because of that, my case was completed before. The only thing I took out of it is that Wiggles was trying to fuck with our heads. I said it was a null tell in regards to you. VI. Day 1 bugs felt town. Day 2 instead of continuing he took a more drastic "fuck town, you guys are bad" approach after he voted himself. I found that suspicious, as did most people. Day 1 votes on a guy who is roleplaying/not contributing make sense regardless of alignment. Regarding bugs, if you'll notice I've been asking him questions to get something out of him, but pretty much all of the answers are "nah, you're scum, don't matter." VII. I actually really like your point on scib. Obviously not the connection part since that's wrong, but I'm going to check out his filter. Regarding the quote: I was very confident both you and Eywa would flip scum (Eywa because that play was so anti-town/non-existent, you for the previous reasons). Your flip gives us interactions, his did not. Thus I would have preferred a lynch on you (until the modkill situation). VIII. You say its a "last resort" for scum to use Wiggles interactions as a last resort to lynch someone, yet here you are doing it to me when no one asked for an associative read. What makes your two associative cases (scib and Wiggles) so concrete? I posted so little d1 that I probably have 0-2 interactions with half the players in the game. All in all, I'm not convinced you're town and I think you ##Vote: Vivax | ||

In the context of this game alone he just didn't seem like scum to me. My bad if I have been wrong this entire time. The problem with this though, is that it makes stutters perhaps quite a bit less likely to be scum. I'm not so sure scum would kill each other off in this type of situation. The votes will probably help make sense of that-d1 vivax and stutters were last on the wiggles wagon and a lot of the time at least one scum is on the bus train. (and look at the voters who were NOT on wiggles-all of them are town or SK, and then zelblade who just got replaced out) Supposing stutters is town the strongest chance for scum lies in killing Promethelax, IMO. meh. It's still kinda worrying though, given that stutters is also playing differently from his town meta. Vivax's differences just seem more profound. | ||

Well trying to explain my own meta might be an effort in futility since I'm obviously cognizant of my previous games and thus you guys have no reason to believe me since from a scum perspective I could easily be playing off of this fact, but at the very least it will let me explain my actions and give us something to discuss. My play this game is much more like my first two newbies (24 & 26) than my third or whose line. Of course optimally I would play like whose line every game, but due to time constraints that wasn't possible. Each time I posted something promising a better read on someone was because I thought I would have the time to post something later only to get forced into going out/called into work. I am aware that is scummy as hell, however I still believe contributing when I can and providing full transparency is leaps and bounds better than just disappearing, showing up and dropping a huge post then disappearing again (a la vivax). Ive also found that even though it isn't ideal, it is useful for gauging how people respond to such a situation. As mentioned before, I had a town read on Vivax day 1 when he focused me pretty hard (rightly so) however as the game progressed and more people became confirmed/obvious town and he still only focused on me suggested that he was less interested in finding scum and more interested in the "easy" mislynch associated with a weak infrequent town player. This is also a large reason for my suspicions of bugs in d2/d3 when he was saying to lynch me and not much else. I can understand the frustration though and his recent play is alleviating most of that suspicion. | ||

Yamato, Prom, Scib, Bugs, Morb, Vivax, Stutters. Can you guys count? That is seven people, it is 5-2 today. Even if we mislynch it is 3-2 lylo tomorrow. But it doesn't matter because I am pretty sure Vivax is going to flip scum so it'll be 4-1 with 1 mislynch left for town. Bugs I am starting to agree with your logic this game. | ||

That was racking my brain earlier lol. Just saw vivax say 4-2 and failed at counting. Also agreed about something feeling off. With vivax flipping scum it feels too easy to lump bugs in with him since I'd like to think with how touted bugs scum play is that he wouldn't buddy up to his partner when I was a potential lynch and there would still be another lynch where they would certainly get one of them lynched the next day. Feels to easy for bugs to be his partner. Maybe I'm giving him too much credit but it certainly doesn't feel as cut and dry as it did before. Of course on the unlikely chance vivax flips town I could see a scum buddying up to town vivax to pull an I told you so. I really don't think that is a concern at all though. So the next move is to look into the more active town. I'd love to see everyone's opinions on who they think is a possibility. Going to start going through filters when I get home in about an hour but we need to stay active even though the lynch is determined. | ||

I honestly don't have much to add, I have to assume that Yam/Morb/Sci are town based on their play and claims and thus I think the only way to play this out is to lynch Stutters, Vivax and Bugs in some order, theoretically we'll hit both scum. If scum is in the three town guys I already mentioned than it is almost certainly Sci but just as certainly there isn't anything we can do about it. Optimal play is to lynch Viax followed by Bugs/Stutters followed by the other one. I'll try to add more tomorrow morning if there is anything for me to respond to please point it out, I'm on limited time right now. Vivax, if you are town you are in a unique position to have four more or less confirmed townies (or at least unlynchables) so I assume you think Bugs and Stutters are partners, if so why did you only attack stutters and if not who do you think is 2nd scum? | ||
