For some reason I'm never lynched. I say to my self its because I'm fairly town. Since I know I'm not the best scumhunter I try to appear as town as possible to others so they can take me out of the equation. Risen you clearly doesn't agree that I looked townie and thats fine. I was so right about Prplhz. I was so right about BL (earlier). Reason to suspect BL in the end was because I ran out of scum reads. I should have trusted my gut about both keir and BL and looked closer at keir. He was there in the back of my mind - and it shows clearly when I asked marv is he had considered Keir RB himself. In the end I decided to sheep Zeph/Keir because BL was my 2nd scumread. I would lynch risen again next game if played out similarly. Posting a lot isn't a towntell when what you write isn't thought through and just confuse the crap out of me. Keir you played very well. You play the same style of scum as I do: think as town, post as town. It works in smaller setups but I have no clue about large games. (I try to avoid those) It's super cool to play scum like that and by far more fun then to play town (for me). =) The setup was SUPER! I mean super good! Why? No one really talked about the setup during the game. I like simple and small. GJ hosting BH! Was super smooth. I liked that you stepped in and stopped the swearing and such. It was over the top at one point. | ||

I think if you're posting a lot, and it isn't well thought through and it's confusing, that isn't even a scumtell (though it is anti-town play). If you're actively hurting the town atmosphere, though, that's a scumtell. If you're not trying to hunt scum, that's a scumtell (and risen ended up like this about halfway through D1 from frustration). It's not that clear-cut usually though. Like, it's easy to imagine a townie posting a lot, and maybe not thinking things through too much because he has nothing to fear since he's a townie. It's harder, in fact, to imagine a scum posting a lot and not thinking things through, because in doing so you'd be very susceptible to slipping up as scum or generating associative tells if you end up flipping, unless you're very careful. The more transparent you are with your thought process, the more careful you have to be. Someone getting pissed and posting a lot and lashing out at people, as Risen did, is absolutely NOT a scumtell. It's not a town-tell on its face, since scum could easily pretend to do it, but a lot of the reason Risen got lynched isn't because people had great reasons to lynch him. Though there were reasons, of course. Risen was playing a bit weirdly in some people's eyes. Really, though, there were no solid cases that were pushed on non-Risen candidates D1. Like, nobody got more than 1 (or 2?) votes besides him. In a "1 wagon, lots of stragglers" scenario, the 1 wagon is always always lynched unless there's a really well-put-together case and enough time for everyone to get on board. Without a well-laid-out case (in part due to town inactivity, in part because Risen, the active townie, became unfocused on his reads), there was no way anyone else was getting lynched. The setup was pretty fun, I may run another Normal Mini with the same setup sometime later. This setup is meant to be more "flat" relative to the normal 9-player 7-2 mini. Typically it's like this: 1 goon 1 RB 7 VTs or 1 goon 1 RB 1 cop 1 doc or 2 goons 1 cop or 2 goons 1 doc by nerfing cop and doc (parity and non-conseq) and adding in BoxeRs, it means the strongest setup, cop/doc, is weaker, and the weaker setups are stronger. No matter what, town has 2 blue claims, and there's no way to just lean on the cop. The hope for this setup was to make the setup focused entirely on day play with scumhunting and arguing being the only way town can win, but town always has 2 claims to use. I was initially worried the setup was too town-favored, but the Parity Cop mechanic is really nice. It relies on the cop also being a good scumhunter AND living all the way to D3. Either he's got no doctor to protect him, or the doctor is non-conseq AND there's an RBer. And on D3 even with results, you need to back it up with your reads. It makes for good conversation. getting a "different" result between two players at LYLO can be very tense. | ||

I agree that town didn't have any other lynch target then Risen day 1. It was of course the entire towns fault, but Risen just kept posting keeping himself in focus. I would go so far as to say it would have been better if Risen had posted less on d1 than he did. In order for me to improve I'm asking anyone to explain (or even make a "real" case) how exactly I looked scummy? Try to not use hindsight because that will just ruin it. | ||

That really got to me. Especially as scum you'd left me alive! That contradiction gnawed at me. Regards to dying - there are stronger town players than me that don't die Night 1 or Night 2. I think I'm just a convenient target because at some point I *can* pull things together, plus I'm extremely hard to (mis)lynch. If you'd put half the effort into Day 2 as you did Day 3, town would have been much better off, and you probably know that  Look at your own play those 2 days and I know you can see the massive difference. | ||
