I think it could've been a little more convincing if you had used mafia 48 as additional evidence as well as a game where he was town. Something like pointing out the contrast between sandroba's day 1 and day 2 behavior in both games and showing the incongruence of his play as mafia versus how he plays as town. Basically the thing with cases is that most of the time you have to add in additional reinforcement to convince people that didn't factor in to you making your decision. Yeah that was a mistake. During day 3 BM had me covenced that he was town and I believed his hatter claim. At that point I had a strong town read on protac, and I did not want him to die. I thought risk.nuke and evantrees were scum because they came in the thread after lurking for a bit and tried to swing the votes from Sandroba to BM. I was sitting at my computer going back and forth on whether or not it would be optimal to claim at this point, and I had work in like 15 min lol. Then I decided to claim and wrote it hastily without saying that sandroba was just a goon. I realized my mistake after I had claimed that my second check came back green, when of course it was blue. I realized how this would make me look, and I decided that I would just keep that info to my self unless C_C came to a lynch.
When VE started to hammer me I decided not to respond because I did not want the thread to be derailed from the BM lynch whom I now thought was Mafia based on him saying he would not remove his bomb from protac. So I just left the thread, whitch I think was the right move. I did have a PM chat with glurio though during that time:

If you look at the voting thread, over half of the people in the game had not voted yet at the half way point on day one. there is hesitancy In voting for him, as well as attempts by others to have a second lynch target up (AKA VE pushing me, OPZ pushing Meapak etc.). flipping red would make WBG, BC, foolishness, all pretty much confirmed town in my eye.
If Bill flips town (god forbid), then my initial thought about how mafia was trying to divert the lynch off Sandroba and on to BM was right.

yeah but noone should have asked him about the 2nd check in the first place. He clearly was town after sandroba imo and everything else he posted was clearly pro-town so I don't know why people doubted hiro at all.

Personally I really wanted Hiro's town read because it would have been one less filter to re-read. That seemed a bit selfish though.
I didn't have any significant doubt about Hiro's claim because it made complete sense and scum seemed too disorganised to cook up anything that plausible except by blind luck.

yeah idk. there really were only very few people who didn't look townie. If it would have been a check on people like kenpachi, slardar or glurio yeah, that would have helped but saying someone who already looks townie is townie isn't really needed, especially after all his "i won't tell people" because everyone knew it was a blue at that point.
But that's just my opinion, we had more than enough information to get 90% of people confirmed townie

It wasn't a bad move IMO. there was a lot of suspicion around him, and he would have most likely have been brought up as a lynch target from mafia, as it would have been a safe mislynch to push without getting there hands dirty. He was also a safe shot for you because he said he should be shot after defending Macpo, which meant that he was ether vanilla town, or scum using WIFOM as a defense, but he was most surly not Blue when he said that.

Edit: After a little bit of thought, id say they were hunting mayoral campaigners who were seeking protection of bodyguards, since they were blue. Im still impressed that Kita wasn't dead first night, that was a huge save.
