Blues get to choose between shooting and performing night actions.

Just please, please, please be aware that this game is a fuckton of work. if you want to really participate it's 2h+ daily, and especially as new players it requires a stupid amount of time to read through. But, if you do in fact realize this, welcome! I would recommend reading Ver's guide, and reading through at least one game. GMarshal's Surprisingly Normal Mini Mafia series is pretty good.

Mini games are smaller ==> less reading Normal games often get the shit spammed out of them, so reading a smaller game can be more educational. That said, I wouldn't recommend this game to a first-time player. The combination of PMs, clues, and the higher than normal activity requirement do not cater to a new player, in my opinion.

Most of the long standing members on the forum all started in games with pm's clues and analysis and the like. I honestly believe with such varying ways to play that this is more ideal to a newbie than a game that solely requires behavioural analysis. Behavioural analysis is by far the hardest skillset to learn and giving newer players a chance to play in different ways is far more advantageous. Or at least it is in my mind.

Agreed on the clue part. I don't think it matters too much if you're new or not. If anything, this is better for newbies in a way. It gives them something to try and contribute so they don't just follow the analysis of whomever they think the best player is. As long as the new player attempts to learn behavioral analysis as well, it gives them something which may be productive to do while they're learning. That being said, I'm not a fan of PMs from a newbie standpoint because of secret club syndrome and overworking the "elite" players.
