They can only post in the QT main thread. They have to use their QT to nominate someone to be lynched that day. I'm considering not allowing anyone to post in the main thread during the morning phase. The afternoon would start with a post from the mod announcing each lynch candidate and during the remaining 48 hours the lynch candidates will appeal their cases to try to get another one lynched.
Because town can not read eachothers QT's (they are hidden) it makes no sense to discuss anything but who out of the current candidates should be lynched and possibly what the mafia/town balances are in the towns. When it comes to actual scumhunting in the towns it has to be done consistently throughout the game and exclusively in the quicktopics.
This breaks scumhunting up into two phases. The first phase would be the most familiar phase and it is trying to determine who is scum in a small town of about 10-11 people. The second phase is more about determining which cases are good and differentiating between bad town/mafia out of a set list of lynch candidates. This is a skill I think a lot of TL players lack anyway.

In case you missed your pm(esp. Because you are hosting a game atm so that can happen), you can have me cohost this. It sounds incredibly fun
