Also, given the discussion in this thread, I'm not sure if I want to call it normal. I think it fits -- it would only use the roles in that thread, there would just be a few quirks in displaying information and it would be heavy on "lore". Trying to not give too much away, but it would be a closed setup. No, it's not space station mafia redux, but that game gave me the idea. If anything else is needed to get the go-ahead, who should I discuss it with? (that, and I do want to run the setup by somebody to make sure I'm not nuts) | ||

The "rules" for normal games have not been set in place yet (we're still looking/thinking about the various arguments before a final decision is made) so I wouldn't worry too much. Games are put up so that they start as soon as signups are full. In the past there were always issues with hosts putting up their game and saying "This game will start in X amount of days from now" because surprise surprise people didn't read. As I said in a previous post, I'm going to try to revert to a method we were doing a while ago and put multiple games up at the same time. This will be good because it will give people more options when signing up for a game (instead of just waiting for a game to fill and the next one to be put up). This will be bad because of the previous issue when enacting this policy in that we might end up with multiple games open to signups and the player base is split (thus no game ever reaches full signups and everyone just sits around waiting).
