What do you mean by black top cylinder guy, and what do you mean shoved equality down our throats? At no point did I feel equality was being shoved down my throat. I'm guessing "Black Top Cylinder Guy" means Ken Branagh playing the engineer Isombard Kingdom Brunel, who was represented here probably because he was the greatest, almost totally noncontroversial, Great Briton who fitted the time periods the ceremony was representing. I'm not going anywhere near guessing what was meant by 'shoving equality down' anyone's throat.

First half of the ceremony rocked. After the industrial revolution however, things got really boring. Torch ceremony was pretty cool though but I feel like the whole, multiple people lighting the cauldron is a bit old (Vancouver did it in 2010). Also, the cauldron is in the center of the field again... Are they going to light it at another location like in Vancouver? Again?

I definitely heard them talking about that. o_O The facts were: Kim Jong Il got 11 hole-in-ones the first time he ever played golf At some event (I forget the event, sorry), they played Borat's version of Kazakhstan anthem instead of the real one. Oh yeah, and as a funny thing too, I thought the queen looked super furious and disgusted over the deaf children's choir or whatever that thing was where they were signing while singing.

I'm not going anywhere near guessing what was meant by 'shoving equality down' anyone's throat. I think what he meant was that during that scene, there were some suited up developers/factory owners/rich guys dancing and checking out the people working, and there were a couple of black guys in that group. I'm not quite sure about the Industrial Revolution in Britain, but wouldn't the affluent people back then be almost completely white? I think that's what he meant by 'black top cylinder guy', though I could be wrong. I loved that part though, mutton chops always make me laugh, so awesome.

How can I watch the Olympics without paying for something? I have Comcast internet but apparently you can't watch online without a subscription to their TV service, which... no. And I don't wanna restrict myself to whatever happens to be on NBC at any given time (plus, shitty antenna means it's unreliable).

They had the clocks from time, the pig over the factories from animals, and an epic conclusion with Eclipse(felt perfect there!) right before Paul M. There might have been more but thats all the Pink Floyd stuff I caught, I didn't hear the Time part at first, but my gf said it was there and I went back and watched and it was there. Just finished watching the 10m air rifle medal round, and there was a massive choke by a chinese girl at the end to get bronze instead of gold/silver, it's overall a really boring sport to watch though. I learned alot about Handball tonight, looked up all the rules, and I also learned archery is 70m, which is a pretty insane distance!

I'm frankly shocked and disgusted at how damn disrespectful that is, wow I wouldn't be surprised if the US straight up declared war on a country for cutting out a 9/11 tribute at an event with this prestige...

I heard what they didn't broadcast it live and it was more a heighlight montage.

New 400m favorite is probably China's Sun Yang now. what did he do
